Documents requirement !

Post by janinah » Sun Oct 18, 2020 12:45 pm

Hi all,

My spouse received ILR on the basis of LR last week. Now, thinking to apply for Naturalisation as Spouse of British Citizen within next week. I went through the Form. Have some questions regarding documents requirements:

1. As applying basis of spouse of british citizen, should we only upload last 2 passports which covers all traveling history during last three years or should upload all 3 passports like ILR ?

2. Do we need to upload all past BRP cards or just latest ILR BRP card ?

3. Employment history wanted for last 10 years. What documents required for this ? We already requested last 10 years employment history from HMRC. Will it be enough or need al P60 ? We have 9 out of 10. Or, should we just upload HMRC’s employment history letter along last 3 years P60 ?

4. Travel history wanted for last 3 years ? Is the passport pages inc stamps departure and entry ok? As I am uploading full passports covering last 3 years, do I need to upload again for separate heading or upload a summary sheet details of travel history with page numbers of stamps enough?

5. As Referee I am thinking two of my colleagues (Professional Accountant & HR Manager). Will it be acceptable if they sign stating they know as colleague’s spouse for 10+ years ?

6. As I am thinking of immediate bio metric appointment, will not mind few quids to pay. So, will it be any difference if we upload all the documents and submit straightway rather than waiting for 1 week time appointment date ? Will it be faster decision or same.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just covering the last three years, from application date back.
2. Do we need to upload all past BRP cards or just latest ILR BRP card ?
Only latest.
3. Employment history wanted for last 10 years. What documents required for this ? We already requested last 10 years employment history from HMRC. Will it be enough or need al P60 ? We have 9 out of 10. Or, should we just upload HMRC’s employment history letter along last 3 years P60 ?
Just fill in the history - no need to provide documentary proof.
4. Travel history wanted for last 3 years ? Is the passport pages inc stamps departure and entry ok? As I am uploading full passports covering last 3 years, do I need to upload again for separate heading or upload a summary sheet details of travel history with page numbers of stamps enough?
Just list your absences - you do not need to prove every date. Passports don't need to be uploaded again for this.
5. As Referee I am thinking two of my colleagues (Professional Accountant & HR Manager). Will it be acceptable if they sign stating they know as colleague’s spouse for 10+ years ?
Yes, colleagues are fine as referees, as long as they qualify.
6. As I am thinking of immediate bio metric appointment, will not mind few quids to pay. So, will it be any difference if we upload all the documents and submit straightway rather than waiting for 1 week time appointment date ? Will it be faster decision or same.
You are free to do that - maybe a caseworker might pick it up early, or maybe not, can't tell whether it will be faster.
Thanks in advance for your help.
