It is quite possible that the model will prove outdated very soon. I'll try and update the projections once I know more.
Early July approved received their invitations just a few days after they were dated which was unusually quick. Maybe they were just lucky and the mid July approvals will arrive as usual 2-3 weeks after their date and so we are now in the gap between early and mid July.

I spoke to on 03001232253 twice today to different people to see if the message is consistent. Both times it was the same message that everyone will receive letters by end of next week. Even right till the end of Aug decisions. I questioned how can this be correct as lot of people from July haven’t received but they were sure on their message. Let’s see

Its better to email the homeoffice and see if they could check the status of his application, Hope he could get his letter soon.

Thank you for sharing, I honestly hope this is really happens! As we are slowly going into a second lockdown, I will honestly scream if I get my invite and then the council goes "sorry, we're in lockdown, next available ceremony is in 2045"

As invitations are now valid for 6 months HO can send this many and just let councils clear the backlog.
I have the feeling that’s the plan.
So we might be in another queue at the council waiting for a ceremony once we have the invitations.

That's so odd. I'm in the same council June 10th approval and Barnet received my certificate exactly two weeks ago. Have you tried calling to council to see if they have received your certificate?

Hello,

Is anyone aware if it is possible to proceed with ceremony outside of UK i.e. in British Embassy of a different country?

I received naturalization application confirmation 22/10/2020 but need to travel for few months outside of UK so wont be able to make it for ceremony in UK.

This is becoming ridiculous, there is been a whole summer to sort out guidelines and work processes in case of a very likely second wave, knowing how efficient is this country for any other thing it seams to me that it is just not a priority to welcome new citizens, I can see the point since we are in the middle of a pandemic, but let us pay at the end of the process if this is the case.

There are better ways to sort this ceremony out, virtual ceremonies was a good compromise for both speed and safety but given the fact that a certificate is still needed and HO delays should still be taken into account I see it like a sweetener and not a real solution, I am starting to lose hope.

anyway best of luck to everyone, I am happy for whom has got already its ceremony done
This totally sums up what I’m thinking and feeling.

There was so much time from mid June on when many places went back to normal.
Also as you mentioned virtual ceremonies.
There were so many options to get the backlog sorted by now.

I also really don’t understand that some councils do one ceremony a month at these circumstances.

However we have waited so long and I try to trust the information many of us have received that end of next week obviously all who were approved until some point in August will receive their letters.
It would be a start. However if that’s the case we will still join another queue with our individual councils as they for sure need to give preferences to the ones approved in June and not in August obviously.

Interesting article, I got excited for a min thinking that this would put pressure on the HO. Unfortunately it looks like the article was published on 21 Sep, it’s been more than a month now and the HO hasn’t changed anything so it’s look unlikely any change will happen

You will have to send a request to change your address go to https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk/

Also send an email to citizenship.support@homeoffice.gsi.gov you will need to ask them to change your address.

Good luck!

Hey guys,

I need your advise on this - yesterday i was just going through the supporting documents back from HO (I made postal application btw) and I noticed that the envelope from them had address and name of my case officer.

Am tempted to write to her and ask if she can try and send my invitation letter. You think this might help?I applied on 18 January 2020. Approved on 19th August.

Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Hello all beautiful kind hearted persons on this platform,

I had a chance to speak to the Haringey, London council. They informed me that the HO is sending certificates in very small portions and they're arranging ceremonies on every Friday. However, they still have severe backlog. Additionally, they informed me that their all members of staff are working from home except couple of them, that's why the dreadlocks happened. She also said that they've approximately 4000 emails unread and needs to be replayed due to the newly implemented technology. They can not allow anyone without the invitation letter. They're hands are tied as they are not receiving the certificates continuously and its not their fault as she mentioned.

The council hasn't received July slots yet.
