I feel like because I approached my MP, they are penalising me purposely, SET (M) 22nd June, nothing at all complex, earning over the threshold, all documents complete, IDV 28th Aug and in-person 15th Sept.

Really frustrated :?:
I have made the same mistake and I don't see my decision coming before 6months time.

You should save your play cards for the right time. You played it too early.
Had to, lost a family member to COVID

Your history does not mention anything about the above. Sorry to hear but if it was an immediate family member, did you provide evidence with your correspondence to HO? Was that the basis of your request to expedite your case?

You went for dual submission, then you contacted the CW, then you contacted the MP a bit too early. I just feel like you have been chasing it for a long time a little too early.

Don’t book an appointment after using the IDV app

If you have been invited to use the IDV app or have already submitted your application via the IDV app, please DO NOT BOOK an appointment at a UKVCAS Service Point. Doing this means that your case may take longer as UKVI will have duplicate records. This also prevents other people who are not eligible to use the IDV app from booking an appointment.

UKVI have assured us that booking a UKVCAS appointment rather than using the IDV app does not mean that your application will be processed more quickly.

It was actually UKVI/UKVCAS’s incompetence/loophole that let applicants book for a dual submission even after using the IDV in the first place.

It is assumed to have worked for many (not necessarily?)

People who went for dual submissions especially after 21st Sep, majority have waited longer or are still waiting.

Probably, just when the biometrics were about to be injected in one’s Case file via IDV and he/she went for a dual submission; was pushed back in queue, maybe will see delays due to dual records held by UKVI.

I guess I made the same mistake but I had to do it because I have nothing to lose anymore, since I had already lost my job , new job offer and my brp expired in July. At this point I don’t even care if the case work gets annoyed because I am sending another few weeks time which makes 5 months from when I submitted my application.

I have now booked an in person free appointment on Oct 1st as per 'CULLINAN' suggestion.
SET(M) -03/08, Doc submit ukvi - 05/08/2020 IDV App Bio Enrolled:04/09

If i get the decision letter before, I can cancel the appointment

Personal suggestion for anyone (who applied between March -July and needs an URGENT decision) & who submitted biometrics via IDV app ONLY and still waiting for more than 3 weeks:

You may want to consider booking a FREE appointment now and go for dual submission to test your luck. For now free appointments are available for next week. Free appointments maybe consumed quickly after it opens for ALL on 21st Sep.

I’ve never mentioned it because I thought I shouldn’t share it, although one member queried in a private message a few weeks back about raising with MP and I mentioned it to them.

I provided all details through the MP but the response was still the same from UKVI, my family is very supportive and hopefully I will get it soon, but it seems like there is no movement.

Agree I have been chasing it but the reason was only this, feels like SET(M) hasn’t moved much lately, pretty quiet on that front.

There are 4 Set LR July end applicants still waiting, one of whom has a (potentially) complex case. There is no Set LR email address unfortunately, at least not that I've seen from all my research. Hang tight, your decision should be coming soon.

On a slightly different note, has anyone heard anything about Life In The U.K. tests being suspended during lockdown starting tomorrow? I’ve got mine booked for December and am a bit worried it will get pushed back.

There is a whole different thread for this. Posting your question there will ensure it gets seen and addressed.

Same question for both of you, just like @poper asked. Is there anything that either of you consider questionable in your immigration/general history?

Indeed! I was in shock (in a pleasant way)! @ajitu92, may I ask how many applicants in August and in September according to your dataset? Just try to see the possible volume trend from its forum (to guess the processing speed) - may not represent the real world accurately but good to have an idea. Many thanks! :)

35 in August and 15 in September now. That being said, one positive trend I can confirm is that all August applicants processing times have been 8X days (X being a number between 0 and 9). So the decisions are definitely coming in quicker...just not quick enough, as is the perpetual case. I might post an the updated graph a bit later.
