When Visa Accepted

Post by AzimScot » Sat Sep 13, 2008 11:22 am

When someone is accepted a settlement visa. I understand this is for a duration of 2 years before your eligible for a ILR.

I am wondering what there citizen status goes down as? once accepted?

Thanks.

There citizenship does not change untill they actually qualify to apply for British citizenship.

It actually doesn't change until they have attended their citizenship ceremony and received their certificate.
