Global Talent Visa employment gap

Post by vtzl » Tue Nov 10, 2020 7:10 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know how long this gap can be in principle?
Appendix W7.3(a) (i) a says
(i) They must have earned money in the UK during their last grant of leave. These earnings must be linked to the expert field which led to their initial endorsement
but it doesn't seem to say whether this needs to cover the entire period or just some of the period.

Let's say a person only worked in the expert field for X days (e.g. one year) and after that went on to do something else (different field, no work at all, etc.). Will they still qualify for ILR in 3/5 years' time?

Would be great to hear your opinions.
