Citizenship application based on refugee status

Hi

Does anyone got an approval letter for citizenship based on refugee status from 2018 on words?

It seems that some people with the same situation have been waiting for over 2 years with no answer for them. Others with different situations applied after and have their passport issued already.

Anyone knows what’s going on?

I have been waiting for over 2 year , I applied since February 2018 , so now I have bring my case for a high court, couse I am tired waiting on their decision , so fingers crossed, probably they will agree to approve the case before high court

I applied in 2016, waiting since last 4 years. Have been approved in Feb 2020, Awaiting Ceremony since then.

I have applied in 2018 then after nearly one year got my second stage letter then after one year another letter stating you are in advanced stage. couple of days ago find another one asking to supply affidavit that you ain't in possession of your origin passport. however it was off course provided whilst submitting my application. though travel document can not be issued if you possess your national passport anyway so it was just a time delaying tactic i'll have to say. i'm not saying its discrimination but i've seen some cases here people never even got second stage and got approved straightaway and refugee status i never come across a single case so have no idea.
maybe you guys shed a light.

I received a letter by chef state solicitor saying that minister it’s looking for 2 weeks time to make a decisions on my case from Monday, couse on Monday it’s my High court hearing date , so now my lawyer she’s going to give the minister 2 weeks time so probably the court will be hearing after 2 weeks time agein if not approved

That is very true. I think all people with the same situation should really do something together. Write to the minister for example

I applied in 2018 as well. I received a stage 2 letter early 2019. There is no update since.
Is there a way I can request Freedom of Information on my application for transparency?

Also for those who have gone through High Court, how much does it cost to go that route?

I didn't hire a solicitor, but personally threatened them on my own as its now 4 years since I applied, Awaiting for Ceremony and declaration since Feb 2020. It may cost around 500 to 1200.

Paddy if it's not personal may I ask you precisely how long ago was that because I'm in line to think of that too so wondering if it take number of months better to avoid or may take them to court, that's why I'm asking how many months was in your case .

hi guys! sorry in advance as its an irrelevant question, but i'm wondering has anyone experienced this!
refugee permission normally given for 3 years and it is extendable but did anyone of you did extended it? and if yes can you please tell how long did it extended for? and what's the procedure ?

Not yet they been asking for for couple of weeks time to give a decision, they also asked me for Explanation of a bank statement from January 2017 to December 2017 , they also asked me to show proff of what I have been working , they also believe that I have been going back home , but I am in a refugee status which I am not allowed but they saying that I have been back home in 2017 , I don’t even know how to answer that question I I’ll probably skip it

I suggest don't skip anything get the opinion of a solicitor that why they believe you were out of state? did they had a overnight dream or something.....so get legal advise and I think its best if you give this matter solicitor to reply because it seems quite serious, however it could be a time delay tactic.

Anyone with refugees status got a reply this month. Specially Syrians or Libyan. There seems to be a blockage on these 2 nationalities. No one I know (10+ people) got a reply recently some are waiting for 25months.

I applied in Aug 2018, and still haven't heard anything. Seems that refugee applications are prolonged in general.

Other nationalities have got reply this month. No one from these 2 particular nationalities heard anything since 2018. Not sure what’s going on.

Did any one have idea Citizenship Department will send approval after 31th March as well or that's is last date.
