Hello Everyone,

Please share your experience/ advise

Im a British National with EU residence permit from Portugal, my father is on visit visa in Uk.

Can he travel to Portugal with me without a Schengen visa ? Or can get visa on airport ? Any EU family member law that applies here.

Please HELP AND GIve YOUR ADVICE. Thank you

Hello

No he can't.

Why? Because he needs to show that he has a residence card as a family member of an EEA national. I understand he doesn't have such a card so he won't be able to travel visa free.

Ok, thank you.

If a person has a EU resident card, say Bulgarian card. Can he travel visa free to Schengen states ? As per my understanding Schengen states come in EU so he can.
