1. Contract documents aren't needed

2&3). If you can view these all then I won't worry at all.
Thanks Seagul. The contract is appearing on my check list. Shall I ignore it?

If it is on checklist then just attach it despite your employer letter will eclipse it. If that does not have your signature then still no issue.

Thank you AmazonianX. You guys helped me a lot. I really appreciate your support.

The following information may be useful to other members.

We selected silver package for the VFS. Although it include passport delivery service, we wanted to collect passport from VFS as we had some delivery issues with my wife’s IELTS certIficate. VFS staff said that the passport collection service isn’t available due to COVID-19 restrictions. I am not sure whether this apply to other VFS centres in India.

My wife had VFS Biometrics appointment on 16/11/2020 and she received an email and text message saying the application has forwarded to the UKVI. However, She didn't receive any acknowledgment from UKVI/ ECO. Is this normal process?

Sometimes applicants don't receive correspondence or updates as expected till passport is ready for collection.

Thank you AmazonianX. Does the VFS text message/ e-mail mean the application is under consideration by ECO?

No, it explicitly states "forwarded to UKVI ". Whether you get notification from UKVI when they start working on it is another thing.

That makes sense. Thanks.

I provided HR department's e-mail address as employer's email address. Last week, they changed the e-mail address and I am not sure someone is going to monitor old e-mail address. Is it going to impact the application that I submitted?

Why not trying in sending an email over same email address to see what's happens. Apart of emailing, they can ring them if that would be needed.

I sent an email to old email address explaining the situation and I got an automatic reply from new address. Seems like they merged two email addresses. I have to wait for three working days for a reply. Let’s see what they are going to say.

Thanks for your assistance.

Updates regarding previous situations:

1. My HR department informed me that e-mails to old e-mail address are re-directed to new e-mail automatically.

2. We received UKVI acknowledgment last Wednesday (after three weeks and two days/ 23 days including weekends) It was an automated e-mail same as received by other forum members.

Hi all,

I am aware that the application takes upto 12 weeks normally. Does the turn around time include Christmas holidays as most of the offices will be closed/ reduced service for nearly 1-2 weeks?

While the stated service period does not give q break down of different times of the year for validity, better to err on side of caution by managing one's expectation that such holiday periods not included and if it happens to come early, then be thankful.

Thanks AmazonianX.

Are there any numbers to contact UKVI regarding the application? I know it’s slight early to contact them.

I searched online, I just want to make sure I have the correct number.

Yes. You guys helped me with a lot suggestions and advice.

It was a straight forward case but, there were a lot obstacles and delays. Can’t believe the pre-application process started nearly a year ago.
