Don't think so - I think decisions have just slowed down a tad for some set LR applications, not entirely sure why, but can only stay patient and hopefully decision coming our way this week or next week
Average processing times were about 85 days a month back. This has increased to 95 to 100 days now
Is this for ILRSet(o) with Biometrics in person?
This is for set LR only

Any idea what is it for ILR Set(O), I am on 87days from biometric and quiet worried now.

I applied SET LR on 25 Aug. I opted IDV and did face to face bio appointment. I am still waiting.

It seems like from 24 Aug, IDV application is quicker
This is not true for Set LR. There is no effect of IDV or face to face appointment on Set LR decision timelines!
I applied on 27 August with IDV on 7 September and still waiting.

Hi all,

I hope this isn't a silly question but can somebody please explain to me what all the sets mean on this thread? I'm really confused what set M set O etc all mean. My husband applied for FLR back in May, biometrics done on 22nd September and we're still waiting for decision on his application. No reply to email sent to MP or any help from visa & immigration advice centre. We've just been told to wait.

I'd like to know which one of these sets are relevant to us so I can better understand the decision timelines.

Thank you in advance.

Set M is for ILR based on 5 years spouse visa.

Set O is for ILR based on 5 years Ancestry, or PBS route visas.

Neither is relevant at this stage if you have applied for a visa extension on FLR M or FLR FP forms.

hmmm interesting. Yes, a few but at the risk of making you feel worse (but in the interest of transparency) that is 5 out of 45 July Set LR applicants still outstanding. If 3 are genuinely complex cases (seems like it from their post history, but I'm not the Home Office or UKVI, so I can't be certain), it would mean that they wouldn't follow the normal trend anyway. So that only leaves 2, yourself and @Amy_R88. Quite bizarre given your past visas, but then again they do say 6 months SLA. Just hang in there, it will come through eventually. Good luck! 🤞🍀
Thank you @ajitu92! Yes my case is pretty straightforward. Don't know if it has anything to do with applying through a solicitor too. But even from the beginning I always felt I had a bit more of a delay than others, as it took me a while to secure an appointment (7th September). So hoping im just a week or so behind now..
I know they say 6months, but looking at others who applied before the pandemic, the latest was always 5 months.. so really hoping it comes before xmas. Thank you so much for the support
Hi @jamd12

I'm also waiting. 😒
Trying to stay hopeful 😊
HI @Amy_R88

I really hope we hear before December. So am I fingers crossed.
Have you heard anything back @jamd12... its December now :/ still the wait continues :(

Thank You for the clarification. Would you by any chance happen to know what the timelines are for FLR (M) applications (if this is the correct place to ask about that)?

I've already booked a UKVCAS appointment. However when I log back in to my UKVI visa application it still shows "Book Appointment". Is this normal? I thought when an appointment is booked via UKVCAS it will be automatically reflected in the UKVI visa application. Bit worried, can anyone clarify please?

I don't think anyone took interest to compile an average wait time given people were receiving Set O decisions within a week

If only I was so lucky.... :|
Really frustrating how the wait times are all over the place and decisions come in at any time and there is no clarity on whether the wait starts from the application submission date or biometrics submission date...

That’s not true... back in September and October there were a lot of people who got it after one week of appointment but many others have been waiting. And since October I don’t think people are getting approvals within a week anymore.

I think I will email my MP today. Even though I am well within 6 months... but it’s been 3 months, I am losing patience.

I emailed my MP, and she said she has raised with the home office the day I emailed her... and the turnaround for the HO to get back to her is 20 working days. So she hasn't heard back in over a week now. Unless you have a family or medical emergency, MP cannot do much unfortunately.

Sorry for being negative but I think almost same restrictions apply now after the lockdown is over albeit some businesses opening. During the second lockdown, UKVCAS centers remained open and UKVI decisions were trickling in too. I suspect there is more at play here. I have seen people on FB forums having applied in August (Set O) still waiting. These are not all IDV applicants either. An interesting observation however is that most of them have added dependents on their application. My feeling is that those with dependents is either low priority (i might go as far as saying people not seen as useful immigrants, please no offense to anyone. I am on of them) or there are checks that they need to essentially do for such applicants and that is slow plus and even if the response comes in, the case is at the back of the queue by then.

I wouldn’t think of us as undesirable lol... if we are that undesirable they wouldn’t give us a path to settlement at all (e.g. T2 ICT or T5) which is completely within their control. It seems to be it’s just a very disorganized and inefficient organization. Something that would have taken 24 hours pre-COVID is taking months now. I can’t think of any reason. They could do a better PR job by at least explaining why WFH or COVID has led to the delay. The reason could be lame but at least we would have a reason to try to believe in.
