@Nature11

Even by @Baybars1 model. We are supposed to get between 16th Dec - 30th Dec. Seems spot on. I am hoping before Christmas.

Hi eonatura,

Thanks for the info.

I have been waiting (impatiently!) for some time now, I just kept trying the RBKC website whenever I remember by entering my HO ref and full name. Today, it just let me book a slot.
They didn't notify me, I just kept checking the website. I tried private/virtual ones first but not a lot of availability (from 21/12 at £200). Public ceremonies are available next week, Tues 8th & Thu 10th also Tues 15th. Loads of slots so decided to go for the free one on Tues just now.

Worried they will require the invitation letter, I called them and the person I spoke to wasn't sure. So I emailed the registrars, hopefully they allow me to attend if I don't receive it in time.
Hello Jenov,

How did your ceremony go? Did they allow you to attend without the invitation letter?

Thank you

Same here.
Application date: 22 June 2020
Approval date: 04 Nov 20 - received letter by post
Ceremony invitation: 11 Dec 20 via email.
Wow that is quick. I have a similar timeline. Applied 22nd June. Approval date 10th Nov received via post.
Looks like Nov approvals are receiving emails also. I am from Hounslow Council and they have mentioned will receive an email for ceremony invitation. Fingers crossed.

Hi Cullinan,
I also received my approval via post in October.

Why is it that only 1% of applicants received approval via post and not via email? Just curious 🧐

I applied 26th July
Bio 30th via App
Approval 8th Oct via post....

I am not sure about this logic. Maybe different CWs handling it differently or maybe the approval email not pushed through in the first place and approval posted after enquiry etc.

Congrats on the (almost) end of your journey ! Just to confirm was it one of these new emails or a proper letter by post? I was told mine (approval 21st Sept) was sent by post yesterday...
And what is your Local Authority?

I really hope to see some movement next week...

Hello guys,

My council informed me that they have received my certificate and asked if whether I have received invitation letter. My approval was on 22 October. Anyone is similar situation? I haven't received invitation letter yet.
Update
Received Invitation through Email today. Probably need to wait till Monday to book a place for ceremony.

After the ceremony (video call) I was asked to visit the Register Office after a week and I was handed over the Certificate. They again check ID and without verification they wont hand over.
interesting, I was told it will be sent by post and cannot be handed over to me in person.

Hi all - i had been a silent reader for a long time. I was approved on 22nd October however still waiting for the ceremony invite. Have not reached out to council or HO yet as I am waiting for the 12 week to be over. I saw that people who were approved in October'20 started to get invites so hopefully we will receive soon

Hi,
I was approved 29th September. I contacted the home office over a week ago and was told that my certificate and invitation will be sent in 10day.
I haven’t still received my invitation.
For the past few months I have been trying to book y ceremony online using the ref no from my approval email but it wasn’t letting me. Early this morning, I tried and the system found my details and I was able to book a ceremony for January. I was wondering, does this mean that my certificate is with the council?
