SMS not allowing to issue Defined COS for Skilled Worker outside country

Post by rahul_kapoor » Fri Dec 11, 2020 2:34 pm

Hi,

This question is on behalf of a UK employer who's using their SMS account (level 1 - main user) but could find the option to issue Defined COS - required to hire someone out of the country as per new immigration rules.

Can anyone please advise if immigration not allowing to issue Defined COS or where one can find the option to issue new COS.

Would appreciate your quick support.

Thanks,

Hi,

Any Immigration consultant / Lawyer who can help or guide in this?

Whether Immigration is now open or not? The employer is looking forward to hiring a resource (Under shortage occupation list) from outside the country on Skilled worker visa but SMS system doesn’t allow to issue “Defined COS” to proceed further.

Is it still closed for new hires?

Hi

It is not closed for new hires.

Does the employer actually have a Defined CoS?

ie is the problem in assigning the CoS to you, or is the problem that they don't yet have a CoS to assign to you?
