Still waiting for my Set LR (M) spouse Visa extension since 24th June 2020. Try to escalate with MP and complained through the UKVI website but nothing.

Is it true after 6months we can track the application?

No, you cannot track your application. See

Yes i have a report from the hospital and i have emailed them to my MP. Shall i send them to HO as well?
Sorry to hear, I was in the same situation and this is my 2 cents. It is better to call the HO help line and tell them you want to expedite your case on medical / compassionate ground. They will then email you a link to upload your evidence, i.e. hospital report, test/lab, patient record, etc. I asked my MP to help as well but apparently HO has a different team looking at MP enquiries so it takes longer to hear back. The whole process took me 5 working days from the call to the receipt of approval email.

All August Set LR until 28th are done (on my list) bar a couple. 1 from 9th (I suspect the user hasn't updated their timeline) and another from 21st (that seems to be a complex case).

August Set LR outstanding applications now are:

29th August - 2 (including yourself)
31st August - 2

I think you will hear back this week for sure, hopefully (and most probably) tomorrow! 🤞
That's heartening to see decisions in date order. Thanks again for keeping us updated on the stats
Who're the 9th and 21st August users?
My hopes of hearing back on my case in 2020 have faded. I am thinking my caseworker is already out for Christmas/New Year as Sepetember applicants have begun receiving decisions.
Same here mate. Who knows how long it's going to take now. That being said, there haven't been many September approvals and most 29th-31st August are still outstanding. Not sure how they have allocated cases amongst and between caseworkers tbh.
I applied in june and still no response. Called the HO today and they said the only way to escalate my application is if a family member (father, mother, brother, sister) dies. Really helpful, you pay £2400 per application and they say 6 months later they can’t update you on the status.

The discussion you quoted strictly pertained to Set LR and not Set O (which you have applied for). Set O and Set M processing pattern still remains an absolute mystery.

Given a sharp rise in corona cases, most likely England will again go into National lockdown in Jan 2021!!! Absolute joke!! Why is boris even relaxing the 5 day Christmas rules to make it even worse!!

For those who applied to change address, please be aware the HO may still posted the BRP to your old address.

I applied to change the address and I received the acknowledge email from them. However, the BRP still posted to my solicitor's office address. Not my updated address.

Does anyone knows what's happening with set M? It seems HO competly lost the plot!!! Set O are getting approval within few weeks of submission but set M applicants been waiting for ages and it's not acceptable.
Has anyone made a complaint to HO? Does anyone know best way to raise this complaint?

Thanks,

As someone watching everyone around my timeline getting their approvals thick and fast, I understand your frustration. There really is no rhyme or reason to it all. But sadly, their process is so opaque that there really isn't any way to hold them to account.

The HO has duty to view all application fairly and equally but they are not doing it, this should be enough to hold them accountable for?

Hi everyone,

If I have a true medical health problems , and I need my ILR soon (supported by GP), I need to contact whom?

I need to contact MP, or I need to fill the compliant form in UKVI?

For all those who are waiting for OVER 6 months and have failed to get a decision even after contacting HO first, MP intervention.

I would suggest to make an official complaint to HO especially if you have compelling circumstances. Mention the reasons how the delay has impacted your life, with evidence where appropriate.

Complaints are handled by a different department and puts lot of pressure to make a decision quick.

Obviously, you are well within your rights to make a complaint if HO has taken unnecessary time which is impacting aspects of your daily life and mental health.

PS: Send via post with recorded delivery.

Dear member,

Finally I got my Christmas present after 6 months of waiting . Thanks for your valuable guidance.
Now I need to prepare documents to submit my dependant whose Tier 2 visa is going to expire in another 25 days and as I said earlier they have 35 days shortage to get eligible for ILR. I hope I can apply ILR directly instead of tier 2 extension again for them. I hope this has not been changed in 2021 guidance. Could anyone confirm on this please? Could anyone tell me what are all documents i need to submit for their ILR application?

Thanks,

FINALLY! Got my approval today after 7+ Months of distressing wait! Applied SET (LR) on 15th May and received decision email today @15.35pm

Date of Application (Standard service): 15/05/2020
Biometric Reuse email received: 04/07/2020
Documents Submitted to UKVI via UKVCAS website: 12/07/2020
IDV App Invitation email received: 26/08/2020
Facial Image & Other Requirement Submitted via IDV App: 26/08/2020
In Person Biometric Appointment (Dual Submission): 03/09/2020 (Lansdowne road, Croydon / £135)

Caseworker Emails / Other Correspondence:
5/10/2020 - “Complex Issue” Letter received on email: Letter stated due to complex issue cannot make a decision within 6 months, however we will aim to decide the application by Feb 2021. (After 5 months of waiting I didn’t expect this email from HO)
29/10/2020- Wrote to HO to expedite my case due to Family Health Emergency with Medical Evidence (Emailed and Posted via recorded delivery)
5/11/2020 – Caseworker emailed me acknowledging the receipt of my request. However, stated that he cannot make a decision on my case at present as they require more time to consider my case.
16/11/2020 (6 Months Threshold reached) Contacted MP and asked them to request UKVI to expedite my case due to Family Health Emergency.
26/11/2020 – MP received a standard response from UKVI: We aim to process all application within 6 months, however following our assessment on Mr. X case, unfortunately it appears his application will not be processed within the six-month target. This is because his application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider his case thoroughly and reach a decision.
30/11/2020 – Filed a complaint online to HO: Stating all reason + how this unreasonable wait time has impacted my personal and professional life.
18/12/2020 – Decision Email received (Email received from livsetdecisionservice@homeoffice.gov.uk undersigned by caseworker)

A BIG thank you to @CULLINAN and @CR001 for all the help and support. I would also like to thank all the other members and legends for their valuable contribution to this forum @poper @ajitu92 @Ameline @iamawonder and others.
I understand the wait could be painful and emotionally draining, but hang in there guys your decision will arrive soon. All the very best for everyone waiting. I wish you all receive a decision in 2020.

Like to sum it up by saying – Alhamduillah.

Chase HO again and ask for an update. Ask your MP to intervene otherwise or else make an official complaint.

Thanks! @wayne_321 Just to add to what CULLINAN said. When you write to them please make sure you get your wording right. Highlight the impact caused by this unreasonable delay on your personal and professional life(If any). 6+ Months wait time is unacceptable and you should write to them!  Make sure you email + post letter via recorded delivery.

PLEASE NOTE: I made my complaints and escalation on the basis of knowing that I was meeting all the parameters of SET (LR) route + a very clean record throughout my time in the UK. You know your situation best therefore take actions accordingly. All the best and I'll pray you receive your decision soon.
