I am from Manchester council. I received my invitation on 18/12 and I email to Manchester Council to book my appointment on same day and they confirmed they received my certificate and they can book me for ceremony on 13/01. I asked them about private ceremony and they said that will be only one day before what we offered you on 12/01. So there was not much difference and I book mine on 13th. Than tier 4 came in and I emailed them again and this what they said to me.
Dear xxxxxx,

A private ceremony is going be around the 22nd January and we do not offer virtual ceremonies.

Even under the national lockdown in November , we could continue to conduct Citizenship ceremonies.

We understand your concerns and want to assure you that we are Covid secure.

However, you have 6 months in which to attend a ceremony, in your case that will be up to June
You can postpone the ceremony to a later date when the vaccine had been more widely distributed and we may have more relaxed tiers.
Kind Regards

So, I said to them, I shall come on given date. My advise to you is, dont wait and email them asap for next slot. Thank you.

Hey,
I've got the same reply. I guess they've received many emails.

Desmond123 must have been very lucky to find this email and they were able to assist him.
I don't think they will be further assisting us on this email as this seems to be the people responsible for the front web development of their web page and it is not really their job to be dealing with that. I will of course keep you updated if they do.

Do you guys think they printed and posted certificates in this holiday from the 7th of October to 20th of October?
I doubt the home office are sending anymore invitation until next year. They’re probably resume sending them on the second week of January 2021 onwards.....

Fingers crossed that we all get our ceremonies done and dusted

Ive been waiting for my invitation for 10 weeks.....
Same here. I really hope we get the letters, book the ceremony and apply for our 1st passports. The wait is too long now.

Pfftt!

Congrats. I was approved a day before you - 22 October 2020. I wonder what the process is for sending out invites and the criteria. Definitely not by date?

I couldn’t figure out what process the home office is using!!! However they’re definitely on the 12 weeks process for sure as their backlog isn’t cleared yet!

I’m hoping within the next 10-14 days we get some light in this tunnel.....

Stay positive people it’s all about good vibes only 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I have been following this thread for some time, I think people need to keep in mind that approval date isn't everything that matters as there have been applications from march on where people have been waiting extended time for approval and they are likely to be first to receive the invites, obviously just my opinion

I applied in september and was approved in november, not expecting it anytime soon to be fair, it would be handy thous as my wife would then apply for hers but out of our control

Best of luck to all
