I submitted my application on the 28/08/2020 and I was advised “ I can confirm that your application is still currently awaiting allocation to a Caseworker.” Can someone advise why it hasn’t been allocated as yet?

Ouch! A follow up email and they've still not assigned it to a case worker?

I'm probably in the same boat then. Application submitted on the 27th of August and biometrics enrolled on the 14th of September. I did send them an email but didn't get a response.

Hi,
I applied for BRITISH naturalisation on 04h January online and paid the fess. Due to corona virus lockdown the only available appointment is on end of January in London.
Iam not sure whether this time period is ok to submit my biometric and document details?. Is my application still valid if i submit my biometric details by end of January
Is there any time limit to submit documents and biometric during these lock down period.
Please advice.

Thanks for you help
LE
You have 45 working days after submission to submit biometrics. The deadline will be mentioned on your UKVI account @ further actions page. It is almost 2 months.
Thank you

I submitted my Naturalisation app today, and trying to book a biometric, they are all chargeable starting from £110, however there was a note at the end of the app that says,HO may reuse applicant's previous biometric, has anybody been contacted by HO regarding that? also in this case would the appointment booked through Sopra Steria be refunded?

IDV app is the past except for T4. You must attend biometrics appointment now.

Hey everyone,
Thanks so much to everyone on here for their continued help. I am finished the process and just waiting for my passport to be approved. My friend is currently also going through the naturalization process. I directed him to this forum but I thought I’d try to help him.

He applied by post end of Oct/early Nov and received his acknowledgment from the home office that payment had been taken and to register his biometrics at the post office. Except the invitation for biometric enrollment at the post office was in someone else’s name (with all their personal details) so the home office obviously sent the wrong letter to the wrong person. But this means that he hasn’t been able to enroll his biometrics as he doesn’t have the letter with his name and details on it! (Presumably neither has the person who’s invitation he has) he has emailed furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk but that was nearly 9 weeks ago now with no response. I told him to try nationalityfrontendtechnicalspecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk but I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas that might help him get the situation sorted?

Thank you!

Why is he not giving biometrics at UKVCAS?
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Why is he not giving biometrics at UKVCAS?
Because he has applied by post not online. Also the letter which was not addressed to him gave a timeframe of 10 days to enroll biometrics which has obviously passed.

Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to book a free appoint in either of the core service centres at Croydon since December 29. I checked it literally every midnight (with a single exception). As per my observation, Sopra Steria does not release any free appointments at all. Can anybody confirm or disprove?

I had same experience when I was to book appointment, all core Center appointments right now seem to be charged at £110. Although it is stated on their website that both charged and free can be found on the core centres. If you can afford to wait a bit more you might likely get free, some people reported they got free before.
