A question to those who have already received their ceremony invitation letter: is the home office reference number the same as the one in the approval letter or is it different?
Thanks
I received my ceremony invitation via email and the only ref mentioned there is my UAN.
I received my approval via post and it has the Case ID i.e. “Our Ref” on it.

Home office reference is the same one mentioned in the approval letter(our ref).
This is what you will require while booking citizenship ceremony with the council.

When you will receive ceremony invite via email(as I don’t know what details you get on physically posted letter) it will contain unique application number(uan) which will also be printed on the naturalisation certificate.

While booking my ceremony, I was only asked my UAN. Not any other reference. Maybe differ with each council then.

Hi All,

Finally, I received invitation letter via email. The date on the letter shows 23rd December and advice to allow 10 days to receive it. Do you know why I still not receive it via post? Do the council accept the copy of the email? Or they need the letter?

Invitations are sent via email also. You will not get one post. Just contact your council for ceremony.

Anyone from Newham council here? Can you please share your experience?
What reference number have you used to book your ceremony?
How long have you been waiting for?

Many thanks to those who replied to my previous question

My council is Newham but I'm still waiting for my invitation. I was approved on 5th Nov. Looking at timeline here, I probably have to wait until February for invitation.
When was you approved? (if you don't mind me asking).
Thanks.

I was approved in August and my ceremony is at last taking place on the 21st of this month - Cambridgeshire Council. I was told I can take the ceremony without the invitation letter. I have been waiting for this letter for 5months now and still nothing.

I have sent an email again this evening after reading the thread so am hoping to hear from NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk

Meanwhile, Cambridgeshire Council has emailed me this:

——-
Thank you for contacting us.

We would prefer you to have your letter from The Home Office to attend the ceremony but we understand that The Home Office are currently very slow to respond to enquiries.

I have checked your paperwork and it does come with a photograph so I’m certain that we will be able to proceed in the event that you have not yet received your second letter from The Home Office.

——

Does this email from Cambridgeshire Council affirm that they now have my certificate? I am not sure what kind of paperwork they have in possession with my photo on it.

Hope somebody help?

Thank you...

I was approved on 22 October and still waiting as well. I wonder how long we have to wait? Not sure it is a good idea to email them since it’ll be 12 weeks this week.
