update from ealing council..

Unfortunately, we have not yet received your certificate from the home office.
It may be a couple of weeks/months before this is received due to the coronavirus pandemic.
We are currently still receiving certificates for those who were approved in August.

UPDATE
Hello folks, Happy to update my council has received my certificate yesterday - Bang on 12th weeks.
Approval - 21/10/2020
Certificate received by council - 11/01/2021
virtual ceremony tomorrow - 13/01/2021 (Lucky that my council (Southampton) is doing this)

I still have not received any invitation letter to me (nor by email) but council lady asked me to present the October approval letter with any photo ID.
Looks like this dreadful wait is soon be over. Let me take this opportunity to thank all you guys. It surely keep me engaged during this longggg 12 weeks.
Happy to see many more October approvals getting their certificates and Hope all others will get their good news by this week.
Good luck. :)
thanks for your update since when Southampton do Virtual ceremony did not seen any update on their website..
No idea but looks like they are just moving into virtual from this lockdown and I may be one of the first to get through this. I think Home Office should give directions to all the councils to move virtual as the COVID is not going away anytime soon!

Just wondering if everyone from October approval have received invitation today or just some of you. (Just to see whether October backlog is cleared now or not yet as 12 weeks waiting period is over for them)
Cheers.

************UPDATE************

Applied Naturalisation 21/05/2020

Approval 09/10/20

Invitation from council for ceremony 11/01/2021

Virtual ceremony booked for 12/01/2021

Very nice and smooth took only 12 mins. A nice lady confirmed name and ID. She didn’t ask for Invitation letter from Home Office. On my request she confirmed my name and DOB on certificate and have me Certificate number in case if I want to apply for Passport application. Wokingham council was very supportive through out that waiting time after approval also they called me on same day they received certificate.

Wokingham Borough Council

Thanks to everyone.

I sent a round of emails to these addresses when 2021 started. I was approved in March 2020 and there are still no signs of my certificate. I haven't got any replies from any of these addresses.
The complaint I submitted at the HO website was upheld and they said they would "endeavour to print and despatch the paperwork as soon as possible", but also said they cannot tell when they can do so. So I guess the only thing I can do is to remind them about my still unprinted paperwork.

Hi All,

I checked online in Wandsworth Council and they have my certificate but I have not got my letter yet.

I am happy but at the same time not fully satisfied because unlike other council they require you to have invitation letter.

My Approval was on 21 OCT 2020

Anyone from Wandsworth Council, if anyone has update on ceremony.

Hi, My approval was also on 27 OCT 2020 but I am also still waiting for a ceremony invitation letter. I am also from Wandsworth Council.
Maybe HO sent the invitation letter and it is lost in the post as in BBC news that SW18 is included royal mail affected area https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55591063
Today, I have sent an email to HO and to the Wandsworth council as well to get an update on my ceremony letter. How you checked that the Wandsworth council has your certificate? I tried but the checking link disappeared now on the Wandsworth council site.

Hi asifmahmood36,

Thanks for the BBC link, yes I checked it online in wandsworth council. Wandsworth council did in-fact remove "Make a Booking" however, what you can do is instead of going in Ceremony go inside Births ==> Register a Birth and you will find "Make a Booking" link.

To make it easy here is the link https://registrars.wandsworth.gov.uk/On ... ignup.aspx

I wasn't putting my full name so it wasn't telling me if my certificate was there, as soon as I put my Full name including middle name it took me to another page which says book group or private but I think I will call council tomorrow.

Will update you on my steps. I hope either yours should have arrived or will arrive soon.

I've also been trying to check if Westminster has my certificate via the online booking tool.

I'm starting to worry my approval letter does not include the reference everyone else is using.

In the top right I have:

Our Ref - left blank

Your Ref - left blank

Case ID 0xxxxxxxx

Date 09 October 2020

Could you please let me know if you are also using the Case ID or in fact for you the "our ref" was provided?

Hi

Did you just get the random email from HO or did you email them to enquire about the invitation letter? Just wanna know because I have not made any contact with them since I received the approval email on 22 October 2020. I believe it’ll be 12 weeks this week?
