Work Visa After Starting to Study

Is it permitted for an international student to do the below:
get in to Ireland on a study visa --> search for a job once landed in Ireland --> get a job --> stop studies (even though you lose money) --> start to work.

No it's not allowed, it's a breach of the conditions of the student visa.

In general, no.
You are not allowed to switch your residence permit to full time employment until your study is complete and you have obtained your degree, with a limited number of exceptions.
