Received UK SPOUSE VISA instead of UK FIANCE VISA, wrong or right?

Post by marh » Mon Jan 04, 2021 4:17 pm

Hi

Can someone tell me if A DECISION LETTER is sent for UK FIANCE VISA by post/email or only for UK SPOUSE VISA?

I received my passport only but I am not sure what to do upon arrival in the UK.
Visa granted : D - PARTNER (STANDARD), work permitted.
Valid from 01/01/2021.
I think so that work is not allowed without BRP. IHS is not paid because we applied FIANCE VISA.
It is not FIANCE: type MARRIAGE

I have some issue.

I applied UK FIANCE VISA in Philippines but I received UK SPOUSE VISA valid for 33 months.
We do not know why that VISA. If Covid is reason.
Propably some people received different Visa as I read on FB group.
I now we need to marry.
Propably no needed to apply Spouse Visa after wedding. Maybe we need to contact Immigration to pay IHS and then to pick up BRP after wedding.
VISA vignette is valid one month to arrive in the UK.
We are not clear without Decision Letter where is info about Visa, BRP address etc.

My sponsor called to UK IMMIGRATION that DECISION LETTER is not received.
We need to wait for 15 working days.
I need to book a flight ticket because wedding must be in six months and vignette is valid for one month to arrive in the UK.
We are worried.

Please, some advice if problem with VISA or with Decision Letter.

thanks

Thanks

wrong VISA. Replaced to FIANCE VISA. Not a decision letter for FIANCE VISA.
Passport brought to VFS MANILA on friday and picked up on wednesday.
Only immigration (UK embassy gives VISA vignette).
We used email to report if VISA is wrong.
PCR TEST on thursday by RED CROSS in 12 hours and already in the UK on saturday.

Hello

no decision letter about BRP(BIOMETRIC RESIDENCY PERMIT) for FIANCE VISA three weeks ago.
Maybe letter is as decision letter. NO paper form after claim.
SPOUSE VISA is with decision letter where is inof when to renew VISA again and where to pick

below is email from IMMIGRATION MANILA when we claimed missing decision letter but our VISA was wrong
I visited VFS GLOBAL in person to hurry to exchange wrong vignette.

We are writing to confirm that the amendment process for your application has been completed. Please be advised however that an Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) has confirmed that you are only entitled to 6 months leave as you have applied under the Settlement Marriage / Fiancée visa category:

How long you can stay

If your application is successful, you will get permission to enter and stay in the UK for 33 months, or for 6 months if you are applying as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner. After this you will be able to apply to extend your stay.

Once you are married in the UK, you will then be able to apply to extend your stay there. As the leave you’ve been granted is 6 months, you will not be receiving a BRP letter.
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

thanks

Please note that VFS will contact you to collect your passport once the new vignette has been affixed in your passport. Please do not proceed to the VAC until you have been contacted by VFS.

no decision letter about BRP(BIOMETRIC RESIDENCY PERMIT) for FIANCE VISA
6 month Fiance visa holders do not get a BRP card.

I know but we claimed a decison letter and no wrong VISA. We thought that VISA is OK because of COVID.

Getting a decision on your application
You’ll get a letter or an email with the result of your application. It will explain what you need to do next.

READ ABOVE - what does it say?
Maybe nobody has decison letter/email for FIANCE VISA and just passport with vignette.
But above is if you apply VISA to the UK you are informed about VISA is approved.
We did not receive a decision letter and if even FIANCE VISA, I cold claim missing decion letter because you can not trust an officer at aiport if you can enter in the UK.
Who knows rules about VISA.
They did mistake in the UK or an officer at UK embassy in MANILA put wrong vignette on my passport.
VFS GLOBAL can not make any mistakes because they do appointments, interview and biometrics only.

No clear help on FB group if wrong or right VISA.
I visited VFS GLOBAL and lots of people claimed something wrong.

You do NOT need the letter to travel. You only need the visa vignette in the passport. If you got the visa vignette, obviously the visa is approved.

All that needs to be done is you need to marry within 6 months or before the fiance visa expires and then apply on FLR M for a spouse visa once married.

Mistakes happen, you are not the first and certainly won't be the last.
