Anyone still waiting since 2018?

Just trying to understand what is taking so long.

I’m an EEA citizen and been working here for 10 years with clean records. So I have been waiting anyway since summer of 2018.

Anybody else still waiting?

There are thousands (6000+) waiting for naturalisation for 3 years or more. But for a broad (read ‘very very broad’) range of reasons, the department can not give you an exact timeframe. But the department will be in touch as expeditiously as possible once a decision has been reached.
P.S.: ‘Expeditiously’ has a very different meaning in Department’s dictionary.

Luckily, in that category one and only roguish, furtive person exist.

I applied in May 2018 and still waiting.

I have been waiting since summer 2018. Last month I sent an FOI request, and waiting for response. Supposedly they would get back to me by March 23rd, 2021.

Does anybody if they are currently processing 2017 and 2018 application? Or they are just focused on the 4000 already approved applications?

I believe they're currently processing those applications which haven't previously been approved. I applied in March '18 and got approval letter last week. Up until I received this letter i had no clear update on my case, like most of us . I also know of few other people who got approval recently and their application was ' in process ' since 2017/2018

I applied in August 2018 and got second stage letter in july 2019. Still waiting for approval.
