Just to share my timeline for replacement brc for who those warring for long time . Online :16/10/2020 . Biometric:18/11/2020 Apad email to confirm 12/11/2020 to confirm if I want to proceed , replay yes . I email them in 02-02-2021 requesting an update they emailed back after 3 weeks saying they are prioritising application with expiring date . Me I had permanent W residence card expiring in 2027. So yesterday 16/03/2021 I received an email from Apad that my application is successful and I will receive a card in 7 days . So it take me exactly 5 months from the online date . And 4 months from biometric. Good luck for everyone

Hi all, could anyone advise please - my wife applied to exchange her RC to an EUSS card back in November I believe (biometrics done around that time). We’ve heard nothing since.

Anyone in a similar position?

She has tried contacting the HO, but they don’t seem to have a clue about what’s being asked of them. Their incompetence is unbelievably frustrating, I must say.
Yes, I read a few posts with people in a similar situation. We are as well in that position.

There is a theory that this could be due to the expiry date of the existing RC we hold. It seems recently that home offices responded to two persons here to confirm this.

What is the expiry date of your wife's resident card? If it's in 2022, you may need to wait longer than average.
Thank you for sharing. Her card’s expiry date is in July 2023. I’ll give it few more weeks maybe, but this is becoming very annoying. A simple job taking months.
Wife has received an email today saying that a new card will be delivered within 7 w/days. Happy days!

Hello guys,

Once the new replaced card is received, do we have to update it with digital status?

Thanks
Yes, if your online status is linked to the old BRC.
Hello,
How long does it take for them to update the new card with digital status? I have updated it on Friday and the system noted that I will get an email confirming the update.
Thank you

We haven’t done anything, really. My wife tried to chase them a few weeks ago, but I don’t think she was able to get through to the right people. Not sure if any of her calls/emails have actually helped here, but who knows. I just think the HO isn’t very organised in terms of dealing with these cases. Wouldn’t be the first time.

1st application: September
We had cancelled it when the confirmation email came through thinking that we’ll need the EU RC to travel to the EU. (We did not travel due to C-19)

2nd application: mid Oct, no email asking to confirm
Biometrics: 19 Nov (paid)
Success email: 17 March

Hello guys,

Once the new replaced card is received, do we have to update it with digital status?

Thanks
I think around 10 days: I applied around 5th of March and I got confirmation email on 15th. I’ve been checking in the meantime around 8th - status was still linked to old card

Yes, if your online status is linked to the old BRC.

On a totally different subject to this forum just to trigger idle brains, for anyone who is waiting for 12 months after the EUSS settled status to apply for Naturalisation, it seems if you have a 5 year qualifying period before you get EUSS status, you can use that straightaway to apply for naturalisation and need not wait for 12 months. i am still researching. Looks like this has been introduced post 1 January 2021. if someone is aware of anything around this, please point to the right forum where this is discussed. Thanks.

Is there anyone who started the application in 2020 and are still waiting?

My expiry date is in July 2021 and it's been 4 months of wait.

Hello my time line

Application made - 1/02/21
Biometric- 15/02/21
Decision-still waiting
Send email to APAD 26-02-21 NO REPLY STILL
BRP EXPIRED DATE - 11/04/21
I made an application on the 01-02-2021 to update and replace my biometric residence card which was issued under EU regulations to EU Settlement scheme. I was granted Settled status (ILR) and received a letter dated 30-01-2021 to confirm this. I attended an appointment with Sopra Steria (UKVCAS) on the 15-02-2021 to provide my biometrics information and any documents which were requested as part of the application. However, I have not yet received a decision on my case I have been having problems in viewing my status online. I have tried to contact EU Settlement Resolution Centre about a month ago and was advised I will be contacted with a update once the issue has been corrected. Unfortunately I haven’t heard anything until now and I am still unable to view the status. It is becoming a serious problem for me now as I am at the stage I need to present the evidence of my status to my employer to be able to continue my employment. My employer does not accept the letter so I need to be able to show them this evidence online.
