IHS website - Skilled Worker 3 Year or 5 Year?

Hello experts,

I am applying to extend my Skilled Worker Dependant visa for another 3 years. On the IHS website, under the "Person you're joining or remaining with" section, I am unsure which option to select for my partner's visa type - "Skilled Worker (Shortage Occupation) 3 Year" or "Skilled Worker (Shortage Occupation) 5 Year". My partner got her ILR last year on the 5 year Tier 2 general route, but a point worth noting is that her Tier 2 General visa was renewed by her employer every 3 years, so her last CoS was for a 3 year duration, hence the confusion.

Any advice would be helpful.

You will only get a 3 year extension as stated in the immigration rules, regardless of which option you select.

understood thanks a lot. The total IHS payment is automatically being calculated as £2496 (£624x4) while I'm applying only for a 3 year visa, what could be the reason?

Then select 3 years to pay the correct IHS.

Put the spouse ilr expiry date as 3 years from the date you plan applying.

but is it acceptable to put a different expiry date for my partner's ilr? the real one is in Dec'24.

I'm having a similar issue, my ILR is awaiting decision and I was applying to get my partner's visa extended. on the IHS payment I entered the work start and end date (03/04/2021) on my Tier 2 CoS. It didn't allow me to progress to payment showing "invalid work end date".

What other date should I use as the work end date?. My partner visa will expire before a get a decision on ILR so I need to submit the application.
