There are 2 different going rates for post-doctoral positions. For example for 2311-Higher Education Teaching Professionals, the going rate is £40,700 however if the applicant has a Tier-2 visa and wants to extend his/her visa the going rate for this 2311 SOC code will be £33,000.
Now my question is: The £33,000 going rate is only for extension or the HO will apply the same going rate(£33,000) also for change of employer?
In other words, if someone with a Tier-2 visa wants to change his employer(not his job) the going rate for the 2311 SOC code will be £33,000 or £40,700?
