Self Employed and Spouse Visa

Post by jafferdeen » Sun Apr 11, 2021 7:46 pm

Hello
My friend is self employed and working with Just Eat and Deliveroo .He has earned nearly £21000 for the tax year April 2020 till April 2021.His gross income after expenses is about £19100.
Questions:-

1- Although he was register since April 2020 but his earnings were from September 2020 till April 2021 because he didn't earn from April 2020- August .2020. Will it be any issue ?

2- He can claim income of £18,600 for the tax year 2020-2021 for his spouse ?

3- Is it necessary to pay tax before applying for visa?

please guide

please guide
1. Your friend most recent financial year will be April 20/21 and it doesn't matter whether some months he didn't earn anything from my point of view as long as his income within the financial year £18,600.

2. Your friend net profit was £19,100 which is above £18,600

3. No but unpaid taxes must be declared.
My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.
