ILR Documents

Post by Riori » Wed Apr 14, 2021 9:05 am

Hi! I am starting to plan out my ILR as I am coming up to it in the next 6 months and do not want any last minute surprises. Are these all the documents I will need? There are no dependants and I dont currently work.

-My full scanned passport
-My old passport scanned
-BRP
-B1 lifeskills English certificate
-Marriage certificate
-Unabridged birth certficate
-Life in the UK test
-Spouse full scanned passport
-6 bills to prove living together
-Spouse: 6 months bank statements
-Spouse: 6 month payslips
-Spouse: Work contract
-Spouse: Letter from employer
-Tenancy agreement
-Land registry
-Letter from landlord
-Owners passport
-Room measurements

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

Thank you!

You do not need the unabridged birth certificate, work contract or Land registry, Letter from landlord, Owners passport, Room measurements.

You need two years evidence of cohabitation from 3 to 6 different sources spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.

Spouse passport you only need the biometric page, not the full passport.

When to Apply for ILR

Post by Riori » Wed Sep 01, 2021 10:58 am

Hi,
Just a quick question as my previous post was closed. My first BRP was issued on the 05-10-2016, and my current one ends on the 05-11-2021. Am I correct to assume I can apply for ILR from the 6th of October till end of visa time and this will be my five years. Thanks

You can apply for ILR no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your FLR M visa issue date as you switched to FLR M within the UK. The latest you can apply is the expiry date of your visa

Ok, I assume then that if I was issued my first marriage visa on the 05 - 10 - 2016 then applying after the 05-10-2021 up until 05-11-2021(end of visa) is all good.
So looking through my documents, I believe this is pretty similar to my second marriage visa extension apart from needing a B1 test and Life in the UK test. Thanks!

I just need to 100% check:
I applied for my first marriage visa within the UK and my BRP was issued on the 05-10-2016.
I am right to assume that I can apply for my ILR now?
Thanks

Hi, I have gone through the application. I am at the pay screen, I haven't had an option to upload my documents yet. Is this done after payment?

Thanks for the reply!
In regards to my husbands work documents, can they send through scanned copies of the employer letter, signed payslips etc or do I need to ask them to post me the originals?

Also my passport was stained by soy sauce, I wont be able to get a new one in time as its from South Africa. The stain is only along the edges of each page and does not affect the passport photo page. Will this be ok?

Clear scanned and uploaded copies is what is needed for application so no need to ask for original.

If it is not defaced and rendered unrecognisable and or details obscured it should not pose a problem.

Clear scanned and uploaded copies is what is needed for application so no need to ask for original.
Do we not need to show originals when we go for the appointment?

Hi, I have two previous passports that I have used to travel to the UK with. One of them before I even lived here. Do I need to scan all pages of both or just the passport page?

CR001: Is it 28 days before the 5th anniversary of first entrance or the date when FLRM was issue?

Thanks! Does Home office only begin to process documents after you have been to your appointment?

Hi again, when uploading documents it asked me to put my current passport in proof of application. When looking at the list of where to put documents it also says most current passport in proof of identity. Do I put it in both?

Do I put proof of relationship (bills) in evidence of residence?

I do not have anything physical for Life in the UK test but it asks to put it in Education? I only got a number from the email. Do I print out this email?

Do I put my B1 in education?

and where do I put my partners passport and my previous passport?

Thanks for any help!

Just reading about the proof of application.
You also have your BRP that you can use.

There is no strict measure on compliance with categories, ensure you upload all required documentary evidence.
