India Recurring Deposit as Financial Evidence for Skilled Worker Visa

Post by vivekmanivel » Mon Apr 12, 2021 2:12 pm

Hi,

I will be applying for the UK skilled worker visa. I am sponsored for the visa and the financial support needs to be taken care by me.

Can I show my India Recurring Deposit account as the finance evidence while applying for the visa? Please advise. It is in my name and in a nationalised bank.

Thanks much in advance!

Cheers,
Vivek

Hi Vivek,

if you are sponsored then the self financial statements don't play a major role unless you have a dependant. but yes any kind of bank savings can be shown.

Hi Nazir,

Thanks for the response.

Actually my Certificate of Sponsorship will not include the Maintenance for Migrant. So, I understand that it doesn't matter as I am the only applicant even on considering the above statement.

I think as you say any kind of savings can be shown, this rules out any other query here.

Thanks again!

In that case you'l need to provide evidence for having held at least £1,270 for a 28-
day period
