Hi there

I am on a skilled worker visa. I would like to apply for a dependent visa for my spouse. My BRP expires in 2024 but I want to apply for a dependent visa for only 1 year since I am planning to change my employer within 1 year so don't want to pay IHS surcharge again.

Could you please let me know if I can apply for 1 year (when I have 3-year visa)?

Your dependent will have to apply and pay for a visa & IHS with the same validity as yours. You cannot apply for a shorter validity for personal reasons.
