Hi All,

Its my day !!! finally !!!

here are my timelines

Applied : 05th June
Ref Letter : 06th June
Urgent Treatment :07th August
Docs Recvd: Aug 30th (Visa valid 3 years )

The part that puzzles me is that the approval letter is dated 24th July and I got my docs back on Aug 30.

All this time CC kept telling me , it is still under consideration.

Well , in my experience if your case is getting delayed , then it is most likely that they are processing it.

This forum is great and is very helpful. Lets keep up the good work guys.

If anybody needs any other info., let me know.

Regards,

Well it was recorded , dont know if it was considered.
The UT only speeds up the printing/dispatch and allocation of ur case to a CW.The CW still takes his/her own time to make a decision.

Hope this helps.

For those still awaiting their applications I've just called the home office and they are currently processing applications received up to the 17th July.

Good news for me as mine was received by them on the 15th July so hopefully it won't be too long before I get my passport back!

Filling up forms

Post by kaeticia » Fri Sep 05, 2008 11:46 pm

Hi all,
can someone advise me on how to fill up the Tier 1 (general) form? I just need to make sure that I am doing it correctly.

On page 14 of the form, Section 2 D on Immigration Histiory.
They ask if the applicant obtain entry clearance or visa before entering the UK and when was it issued. I have been in the UK for 6 years now and was switching visas for a few times. Do I state the very first visa that I got before entering the UK or do I state my current HSMP visa status?
Secondly, they ask for a reference number? I need to make sure which/where is the correct number that I should include in.

To prove my age, do I still need to submit an extra notary copy of my details on passport together with the application besides my original passport? I saw on some posts about submitting this and therefore was a little confused.

When claiming the previous earnings, which one should I include... the net or the gross earnings? One of my payslips was a photocopy, should I get it signed? I had some bonus during Christmas period, should I get my boss to write a letter to state that? What are the important elements to be included in the letter?

Do I need to include a cover letter for every individual section or should I just include one general cover letter at the front?

I tried to do the point based calculator from the website but 1/2 way though I get to an error, does everyone has the same kind of problem?
I will try in again though.

Hope to hear some responses soon.
Thank you all in advance.

I've been trying to contact the BIA at 0114 207 4074 to request urgent treatment for my Tier 1(HSMP) FLR but haven't been able to speak to anybody. Is this the right number to contact? Does anybody know of any alternate numbers?

Thanks.
Call them between 9 am to 10 am or 4 pm to 5 pm ...in the evening oversees calls will be less and you can get a line quickly

Hello,
When is your visa valid until and when did u'r current visa run out..
does HO give extension exactly one day after the expriy of the current hsmp?
If they give extension on a much earlier date then there is a possibility that one might fall a few weeks short for the 5 year qualitification for ILR

Hi,
Normally HSMP visas are issued 2+ 3 or 3+ 2 years and then indefinate leave to remain in UK. i am wondering if someone delays entry into uk on HSMP visa and cannot meet the minimum required period of 4 years and 11 months to be eligible to apply for indefinate leave to remain then what to do? do they give second extension if one falls short to achieve that period after first extention? I mean 3 + 2 + some extension?

appreciate any guidance
thanks

Go my passport 31 March 2005.

Documents I sent:
1. FLR(IED) Application form
2. Passport
3. Two photos with my name written on the back
4. Contract and payslips dated from April 2004.
5. 9 months of Banks statements.

I just received my Tier 1 (General) extension, I fall under the 1+3+3 group and applied for HSMP extension under JR.

Timelines:
Sent docs - 12 Sept
Received by HO - 15 Sept
Reference no received - 17 Sept
Approval date - 07 Oct
Received passport with docs - 08 Oct

I provided them with a special delivery envelope which they used to send everything back. I have the extension until 12 Nov 2011.

previous expiry date was 12 Nov 2008. They gave me exactly 3 extra years even though they issued the visa earlier (7 Oct). I wouldn't get obsessed with the exact date you need to reach 5 years. They will probably extend the requirement for ILR (as they did to me) before you get to 5 years.

Thanks Bani...thats great..as long as the new visa is valid until exactly 3 years from the date of your current visa expiry it is good...though I can appreciate your point on HO changing the goal poasts for ILR requirement...Congrats by the way.

Cheers

I just received a 3 year tier 1 extension, applying under the HSMP extension under JR. Processed in the UK.

Here's my dates:

Send Docs : 5th Sept
Recieved Confirmation: 10th Sept
Approval Date: 30th September
Received Docs: 8th October.

What really annoyed me, was that my passport and application were sent back using standard mail. Particularly with a big border control agency return address sticker on the back, I'm glad they didn't dissapear. Did I miss an application step in ensuring that they were sent back registered mail? I would have thought the extra cost of registered post might have been included in the £750....
