Previous earnings

Post by sunil.suneel » Thu Sep 11, 2008 4:36 pm

Hi Guys

I have a unique situation here ...... This is an extension issue ....

Does anyone have an idea if the earnings from the stock market can be used for previous earning. As for the past 1 year the earning mostly has been from stock market which is deposited to my bank account by the BACS mode.

Any sugesstions to this will be a great help !

Regards
Sunil

Applying for FLR

Post by farrukh » Tue Sep 16, 2008 5:53 pm

Hi all

I am going to apply for my FLR in a weeks time. My visa was stamped on October 2006 for 2 years. So i fall under the JR. I am just listing the Documents that i am going to post. Just wanted a second opinion from you people as I am trying to send only the documents that are required and nothing extra:

1- Passport
2- Two passports size photos with name written at the back.
3- Salaray slips for last 12 months
4- Bank statement for last 12 month
5- Covering letter.

I hope these documents should be enough as these are the only things written in the guidance note. Please let me know if i need to attach anything other than these

Cheers

Post Nov 2006 - Extension procedure?

Post by dsbos » Mon Sep 29, 2008 5:39 pm

Hello all,

I am under HSMP post Nov 2006. Letter issued in Jan 2007 and visa issued in May 2007.

I haven't done any IELTS, did not require to get my Non-UK Degree evaluated to get the approval.

Can the experts in the forum please explain the followings?

1. On what basis (or against which changes) the JR was filed? (is that just the increase of 10 points and/or anything else?)

2. Do I have to get the required level of IELTS? (this is nuts I work in the UK for 5 years :P as a consultant)

3. Do I have to get my Degree evaluated by any particular body (paying £££ ) ?

4. Can I apply for my dependents in the same application form? and do I have to pay in multiple fees for each dependent?

Appreciate your responses and thanks for your time.

Found the following text from the UKBA Website, which applies for HSMP Approval issued before 28 Feb 2008.
If your application for an HSMP approval letter was made on or before 28 February 2008
Your application will be processed.

Applications for leave to remain in the UK under HSMP made before 29 February 2008 will be decided in accordance with the immigration rules that were in place on 28 February 2008 even if the decision is reached after that date.
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... p/#header1

Does this means that "Post Nov 2006 - Pre Feb 2008" HSMP Extensions will not have any effects of the Tier System?

Sorry if I am duplicating the same question ![/quote]

HSMP extension

Post by ramesheuk » Wed Oct 01, 2008 5:00 pm

Hi Friends,

Need urgent help...

Applied HSMP (Initial application) on 26/10/2006.
Got approval letter on 05/12/2006.
FLR on 15/12/2006.

Now I need to extend my HSMP.

Can I apply in old HSMP rules (based on JR)? Because I don't have IELTS certificate.
And may I know what are the documents I need to submit along with my application?
Please could any one PM the covering letter?

Thanks in advance,
Ramesh

Can you help with my FLR Tier 1 ?

Post by santosh_kalluri » Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:21 am

Can anyone tell me what to enter in the following fields on the FLR Tier 1 HSMP (version 02/2008) application form please? I am affected by the recent judgement since my initial application was before Nov 2006.

1) Your HSMP reference number and
2) Your Home Office reference number (if you have one)

Are these from the initial HSMP application ?

Thanks a lot,
Santosh.

Santosh,

I had the same confusion but then I rang WP helpline and the lady told me the following:

1) Your HSMP reference number:
>This is your Visa number (written on the visa sticker on your passport).

2) Your Home Office reference number (if you have one)
>Leave this Blank

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Normally HSMP visas are issued 2+ 3 or 3+ 2 years and then indefinate leave to remain in UK. i am wondering if someone delays entry into uk on HSMP visa and cannot meet the minimum required period of 4 years and 11 months to be eligible to apply for indefinate leave to remain then what to do? do they give second extension if one falls short to achieve that period after first extention? I mean 3 + 2 + some extension?

appreciate any guidance
thanks

Applied FLR Tier 1 HSMP under JR

Post by santosh_kalluri » Fri Oct 10, 2008 4:42 pm

Hi All,

I applied for FLR Tier 1 HSMP under JR. I filled in all the right forms etc but I didnt mention anywhere specifically saying JR. Does it matter ? coz the application is only meant for people who got their initial HSMP approval before Nov 2006 right? and the form also says for applicants applying after July 08.

I also submitted a break up of everything into A4 Documents with the details of attachments and a Cover sheet with points claimed under various categories.

Can anyone Pat my Back please?

Thanks,
Santosh

No it doesn't matter, if you filled out the JR form, they will treat your application under the JR ruling.

But why did you have to submit documents with points claimed? That's irrelevant to the JR. Hopefully, the caseworker will just disregard it instead of getting a headache ;). But I don't think it will affect your extension approval.
