temporarily moving country after applying for naturalisation

Post by jrk92 » Wed May 19, 2021 9:50 am

Hi folks,

I've been living in Ireland since 2007 and finally I decided to submit my application for naturalisation, which was done a couple of weeks ago. Although my intention is to stay permanently in the State, recently I got an opportunity to work for a year or two in another EU country. After finding out about the back-log and potential 1-2 years delay, I wonder whether I should just move the country and inform the immigration service about my changed circumstances, move the country without informing them or wait around hoping I will receive my Irish citizenship in the next couple of months, which is pretty much impossible.

Any thoughts?

Thanks a mill. :D
