Employment letter for T2

Post by vicky_wenyu » Thu Jun 03, 2021 7:00 pm

Hi everyone, I have been reading this forum for a while. I find it really helpful in clearing some of the questions I have. Thank you all.

I am currently looking at applying as T2 worker end of next month. I have 2 questions which might have been answered before however I could not find straight forward answer.

1) Does the employment letter need to be within 28 days? As I have got one now, but obviously it is a bit longer than 28 days. Anyone successful in their application with s letter slightly older than 28 days?

2) the evidence of absence is a headache. Do I must need a company letter? or what are acceptable evidence?
Many many thanks!!

I was told that the letter from the employer needs to be not dated more than 2 weeks (14 days) before the date of the application submission.

There is no evidence of absence. Passport stamps are enough

Hi Zimba, although do you know how close on dates an employment letter better to be please? I work for the NHS, as everything is a bit slow it would be a hassle to obtain a new letter... Thanks a lot.

There is no specific requirement. As long as you provide the letter
