Thank You
My online Bank statements have the HSBC Logo and look identical to ones that come in post, would this still need to be verified by bank ?

is a new Nadra ID Card required ?

Post by Costello101 » Fri May 07, 2021 10:30 am

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about the Nadra ID card of my wife who is in Pakistan. We got married in March and have our marriage certificate issued by Islamabad Union Council.

My question is does my wife need a new Nadra card with my name on it removing her fathers, before applying for UK Spouse Visa ?

Looking to see what other members have experienced regarding this any help appreciated.

Hi

My husband told me I had to put his name on my nadra card and so I reapplied and removed my father's name in order to get nikah nama attested in Pakistan.

Without that it couldn't be done.

So yes she needs new ID card with your name on it.

Hope that helps

Hi,
The Nikkah nama has been attested by Arbitrary council without my name on her NADRA card. So I don't see that being an issue.

Passport at Biometric Appointment

Post by Costello101 » Mon Jun 07, 2021 1:15 pm

Hi all,

My wife had her Biometrics last week. It turns out they didn't keep her passport. We didn't pay for the keep passport service. I assumed they would take it until a decision has been made and its ready to collect. My wife said at the appointment they did the full biometric but they just checked her passport and gave it back.

Has this happened with anyone else ?

Is this an initial spouse visa application or an extension FLR(M)?

Is it this application?

If so, you can keep your questions about that application in that thread.

Do not need to change your name on nadra id card. The marriage certificate of the local council is enough to prove the marriage is registered. But you will need to prove subsisting relationship which should show atleast 2 years of you being together or meeting with each other and any communications that you have done during such period. Add as much evidence of you living or meeting together in the last 2 years. Do include marriage pictures also.

Apparently they are not taking passports at the biometric appointment in Pakistan anymore, rather returning them and then when the application is decided asking for them so that the visa/vignette can be applied. I think this start around April time.
