Making money from side projects in Tier 2 visa

I currently work as a Product Manager. My job requires me to work with developers to get things done. I have been sponsored visa in job code 2424. I work on developing mobile apps in my spare time. I can potentially make money from these apps. Is this allowed in Tier 2 visa?

I would technically be using my skills as a software developer which is a shortage job, combined with my current skill of Product Management. I plan to keep doing this as a side project as I need a stable income from the job.
