Partner/Fiance Visa No Reply yet. 58th working Day

Post by Othieno » Tue Jun 08, 2021 1:20 pm

Hi All,
My partner applied for a partner fiance visa on 18th March, 2021. All documents were submitted to TLC and fingure prints taken and passport handed to TLC.

There has been no contact from UKVI not even an email ever since. Its all silence and its causing so much anxiety, anger, agony to mention a few.

I am a British Citizen with a good job earning 55,000, My own place/flat, separated from former civil partner.

What should i do next?

TLS?

The processing time for most standard applications is 60 working days.
Did they receive an email that HO are not able to meet this target?

They are definitely overwhelmed with visas I think. My daughters visa (supposed to be completed in 60 days) is now on day 65 and we still don't have an answer.

Still, that's not a reason to fail the deadlines. I'm so pissed off :(

May I ask how do you know that the HO is overwhelmed with visas?

Hi All, I am now on day 71, no reply yet. I filled in escalation form, no reply to that. My MP wrote to them, no reply to her either. I am pulling my hair out due to frustration.

Yesterday, my partners country was added to Red List. I am more infuriated.

I don't know where to run to coz I am on the edge of....

Advise please.

I totally understand your feelings. Waiting that long to get to the deadline and then figure out that there is no answer nor anybody to held accountable is very frustrating.

I would say the only answer is to keep waiting, but probably we could pull out an article if we are a bunch of people on the same situation (deadline over and still waiting). I wonder if the visa case workers in the HO have an idea of how much pain and anxiety they are causing to couples and families to be reunite? Also I don't want to talk about the fact that they have our passports with themselves thus preventing us to travel a move freely.

:(

I am thinking of taking legal action as my next step.
Do you think it's wise? And does anyone know how I should go about it?
It's going to involve costs. Can I claim these back?

Legal action in what form? Definitely will involve cost.
Note that there is no assurance given on when you will get the result of your outcome, its only estimated and due to various reasons an application may exceed estimated service tome to be concluded; there are several threads on delays.
While situation like this can be and are Definitely frustrating to applicants and loved ones, If you can, exercise patience, escalate and continue to engage your MP.

Just be patient and that's the best you can do! Legal action as mentioned will cost you more money and more anxiety.

Hello members,
This morning we received an email from Pretoria South Africa. I don't know if its a reply to an escalation. And if so what should I do next?

Below is the content.

I am writing with regards to the enquiry that you lodged with the UK based call centre concerning your UK Visa application.

Please note that your application was under mandatory check and it’s still being processed.

Kindly accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Kind Regards

UKVI- Pretoria Special Handling Unit.

Only thing I see you need to do is exercise more patience. Your escalation attended to as the reply indicates application still in process.

The letter is a follow up to the early response you got and are saying same thing; your application is in progress but you won't get it within the standard service time they seek to keep.

Can you state the grounds on which it was refused? Better still share content of the refusal letter as received.

PS: Remove personal details that can identify you and then post the content of the letter.
