My current earned income is low, but I am on a high-income job

Post by Shaw123 » Mon Jul 26, 2021 8:33 am

I am applying for my wife as a dependent next month as her visa is expiring. I got a job six months ago and so far earned a gross income of ~15k. Given that the income requirement is £18,600, can I show my employment letter that my annual gross salary is actually £30k? Would it be acceptable? Just to reiterate, I earned around 15k over the last 12 months. Is this fulfilling the financial requirement for the visa while certainly, my annual income is 30k?

The requirement is not to have earned £18,600 in the last 6 months. It is £18,600 per annum minimum.

To meet the requirements for 6 months, your monthly salary before any deductions must be £1550.

So, you mean that I do not have to prove that I have earned 18.6k in the last 12 months. Is that means that HO is only concerned that I have earned £9.3k in the last six months? Is that right?
