BRP Appointment and Visa Expiry

Post by aspirant910 » Thu Jul 29, 2021 11:59 am

Hello,
We got an BRP appointment for application ( Tier 2 - Now skilled worker Extension) for 10th August whereas, its expiring on 14th August .
Will that cause any issues or its normal considering there no appointments available on before that date.
The Application was submitted on 10th July.

Thanks

Thanks. So how the duration is calculated for ILR on Skilled Visa ( Tier 2 previously ) . The old BRP card had validity from 11.07.2019- 14.08.2021 ( Tier 2 general) , the new BRP card have validity from 17.08.2021 - 27.08.2024.
Looks like there is a gap of 2 days. I am not sure but was expecting the BRP validity to start from CoS start date.

You're overthinking completely. There is no issue here.

Visa is granted from date of approval if it is after the cos start date.

The start date on the BRP is always the date when it is actually issued and as such it is only indirectly related to the CoS start date and the application approval date.
