It's the wild west if you ask me. Week 15th after biometrics and counting (April 16th). Card expires in 2023, no word from HO or MP.

From what I can tell I could travel with current card, and that's exactly what I'll do. Not sure I have any other choice.
Mine took 5 months to receive

Bio 11 Dec 2020
Received card 6 May 2021

Yep, after biometrics. I did the biometrics part with the app, I didn't have to go to a centre.

I tried to return my EEA BRC to the address I received in the APAD email, which was:
POL Returns PO Box 195
Bristol
BS20 1AB

My mail was returned to me unopened. On googling, it seems the postcode is from another Returns address (PO Box 163). I wrote to APAD and was told the address they'd provided was correct. Could someone else who recently received their card let me know what address they were given? It'd be hugely irresponsible of them to request for a return and provide the wrong address twice.

We gave the biometrics for the family 13 weeks ago and finally received an email confirmation (only for daughter) on Friday, my son and I are still waiting. I hope we will receive the cards before we apply for settled status which is a few months away.

Thank you for reverting.

I intend to travel to Northern Ireland from England-so I am guessing I should be okay.

My Timeline change of BRC from Pre-settle to settle staus

Applied on 20th April 2021

Bio metrics done on the 7th May.

Emailed couple of times but always got the generic reply.

Received email on 10th August stating BRC has been issued and should expect it in next 7 days

BRC delivered on the 13th August 2021( after 3 months ) with expiry date 31/21/2024

Could someone clarify where do I send the old BRC as I read on this topic that someday got the BRC returned as it was the wrong address.

Many Thanks

Hi guys,
I have question you might be able to help.
I want to apply for the British Citizenship as spouse of a British. They asked me to provide my residence card if I have it. At the moment, I have a residence card with a pre-settled status. So I need to change my status to settled before providing this to them?
Thanks!

I recently got my replacement card (about 3 months after biometrics) and the address for returning the old EEA one was same as you posted. I googled it and couldn't find it. (I think we got the APAD email from the same batch). But I decided to use the address exactly as requested...
POL Returns PO Box 195
Bristol
BS20 1AB

I haven't received the old card back ...yet!

What a waste of time and money... A few days after my application I found I could have continued using my old EEA card. :?

You cannot get British Citizenship without either Indenfinite Leave to Remain or Settled Status, no matter if you are married to a British Citizen.

Now... do you have Settled, or only Pre-settled status (regardless of what's on your card)? If you only have electronic Settled Status and a pre-Settled Status card, I think you can supply your long EUSS application number, they'll know and can verify your status.
My posts express what I believe are the facts, based on the best of my knowledge, about the topics discussed in this forum. They do not constitute immigration advice.

Thanks, Kamoe!
I don't have the settled yet, but I'm aware that it's needed to get British Citizenship. I will be able to change my status soon from pre-settled to settled. My BRC is valid until 2024, but I'm not really sure if I need to change it to read settled instead of pre-settled - mainly because the BRC is requested when applying for Citizenship.

14/06/2021 settled status decision letter received via email
12/07/2021 biometrics appointment with UKVCAS, was told that I need to wait for a decision letter, wonder if it’s the same as the one I already received, or a different one
19/08/2021 still no decision letter or BRC, is the wait normal

Yea, I did but now I’m confused whether I will receive a new card or not. I reported “BRP hasn’t arrived” today online and received response below from Home Office. I’m a non-EU citizen and my old RC expired this July.

Thank you for your e-mail of regarding your status under the EU Settlement Scheme (the Scheme).
All applicants granted status under the Scheme receive a secure, accessible online status. They also receive a letter by email to advise them of the outcome of their application which explains their new online status.
You used a valid biometric residence card issued under EEA Treaty Rights when you applied to the Scheme, serial number RDxxxxxx, and so you were not issued with a Scheme card when granted Scheme leave.

Our records show that you have applied for a replacement card to reflect your new leave. Applications are being processed with in order of the expiry date of the EEA Treaty Rights card, not in order of application date.
