PDF is fine.
Thanks. Another query please:

What date is counted when we are supplying payslips and bank statement - is it 6 months prior to the date when we paid for the application or the actual date for brp appointment?

Its just that my wife is paid on the 20th of every month and her brp appointment is on 26th August so we will have payslips for August but won't have the corresponding bank statement showing that salary for August as that is issued end of the month on 31st August.

Date of application which is relevant to your documents, is the date you submit and pay online. It is not your biometric appointment date. Your supporting documents must be dated on or before the date you apply/pay online.

My wife's employers are really doing my head in. She had a contract from December where she had a certain job title. She used this title in the application when we submitted and paid for it.

Now when we are asking for a letter, they are like "oh your title was incorrect in the previous contract, here have a new contract with an updated job title and this is what we will write in the letter from employer too"

Its proving so stressful - if they don't give us the old title as per my application in the letter from employer, what are our options please?

If you have the above exchange in writing, get it and give a cover note for clarity, don't stress yourself on it as per job title.

Hi, in terms of letters of correspondence, we have lived in 3 address since August 2019 and we have the following letters:

Address 1: lived till October 2019 - I have 1 letter (HMRC for me & DBS letter for wife) each in individual names (dated August 2019) and 1 x council letter in both name (dated October 2019) and .

Address 2: lived November 2019 to November 2020 - 2 x Council tax bill in both names (dated November 2019 and March 2020), 2 x water bills in both names (Jan 2020 and July 2020)

Address 3: lived December 2020 to present - 2 x Council tax ill in both names (dated Jan 2021 and March 2021), 2 x water bills in both names (Jan 2021 and July 2021)

Is the above enough? We do have some more letters in individual names as I feel there is a gap between Jul 2020 and Jan 2021 will be too much if there is no letter in between these months?

A mix of individual and joint named docs are acceptable.

Thanks for the response. I appreciate that mixed and joint names are acceptable. I was more asking about the timelines of my letters, is that sufficient as it needs to be spread evenly over 2 years right.

Which category on the ukvcas website do we upload the Part 1 and Part 2 consent for Home office to verify third party information?

The categories are strictly sacrosanct, just ensure it's uploaded, will still be confirmed at appointment.

Hi my wife had her biometrics appointment (non priority) today.
They didn't keep her passport or BRP and after scanning returned both.
They also didn't give any letter or anything. Seems a bit surprising.

Is all this normal?

This is normal process for application within UK.

Not sure why as it is all clearly explained on the UKCVAS website and has been since November 2018!

Aah fair enough, I missed it. Not done any visas since October 2018, so not been used to the new system. Cheers for the help.
Hopefully get a positive result soon. Does it usually take full 8 weeks if its a relatively straightforward application or can it be sooner.

Can be sooner as can be later. How soon can really not be predicted and using others timeline only a gauge as HO will state each application treated individually.

Hi all just a note to say that my spouse's visa has been approved. She got the approval via email today. So thanks for all the help! Her BRP is in the post is what it said in the email.

Now she will be eligible for ILR in December 2023. What sort of thing do we have to keep in mind for IlR between now and then. We still have to save correspondence letters for the entire 5 year period or just the next 2 years?

Are there any other documents etc we would need that requires prep from now itslef ?
