Tier 2 General (Skill worker) Spouse VISA

Hi Team,

I have a query related to Tier 2 General (Skill worker) Spouse VISA. My tier 2 visa is going to expire mid OCT,21. I have asked my employer to initiate the extension, and they will start the same mid this month.

1. However, I want to apply for my spouse visa for first time, as she is abroad and not in UK. Hence, I want to check if i can apply my spouse visa application parallelly during my visa extension or will that impact the spouse visa validity.

2. If Poin-1 is yes, then will the spouse visa will be granted based on my extension or will be limited to previous visa date? ( which is mid, oct 21 )
