Covid vs absence

Post by hat_on » Sun Sep 12, 2021 7:07 pm

hi

1. what relaxations have been granted for sponsored (tier2) visa due to covid19.
If person left the country during peak covid in 2020 then unable to return due to country of visit being within 'red' list then what impact would this have on ILR application?

2. if a person has been granted visa to enter then how much further delay (countries within red/amber) can they exercise beyond regular 3 months window?

please suggest ...thanks..

This topic has been recurrent in the last months.

Here is a post where some comments in this regard were made:

Tier 2 General visa working from abroad remotely

People who visited amber and red list countries enter the UK every day. The majority of flights suspended during lockdowns are now operating.

thanks..

6 months absences were taken like:

1st 3 months in first 12 months rolling period
2nd 3 months second 12 months rolling period

last another 6 months unfortunately comprise close relative passed away as well as country went into red list and jabs in home country started late therefore Covid/ vaccine passport could not be obtained on time...
the employer was informed and was updated all the way but could not update HO on time.. is employer able to update now when applicant is ready to travel... thanks..
