Tier 2 Dependent - ILR Set O

Post by Jamytart » Tue Sep 14, 2021 8:06 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am about to apply for ILR for my spouse who has been on Tier 2 dependent visa since Sep-2016. I had my ILR granted earlier this year through Tier 2 (General). Could someone please answer below queries:

1) Do I have to provide any evidence for absence from UK apart from entry/exit stamps on my spouse's passport?

2) Any specific documents to prove continuous relationship? I am planning to attach Utility bill with both of our names, Tenancy Agreement with both names on, Spouse driving license and bank statement with same address on. Anything else that could be added?

3) Do I have to show funds been kept in either of our bank accounts? Is there any funds maintenance requirement?

4) Do I have to attach my bank statements too or only spouse's bank statment will suffice?

5) Do I need to show my payslips and letter from my employer? Spouse isn't working and has never worked.

Any other criteria that I may forget or anything I need to be careful of before submitting an application except checking the 5 years period?

Thanks

1. No
2. Cohabitation evidence. ANY evidence in the last two years
3. There is no maintenance requirement
4. No bank statement needs in general
5. No. This has nothing to do with your employment

Hi jamytart

Have you submitted your wife’s application? My scenario is same as yours. Just curious to find out what docs you submitted?

Thanks

Super useful, thanks

Is there a template for the Cover letter? Can you share?

There is no template or standard format for cover letter.
It is a simple formal letter depicting your circumstances and addressing any matter you wish to throw more details on or that is not covered by the application and which you consider pertinent to the success/positive outcome or decision.

Hi Jamytart,

In the docs upload in sopra steria site, under mandatory docs for your wife did you upload your consent form for third part and your wife's consent form (Part1)?

Also, I believe you haven't attached any proof of payslips, employment letters etc?
