Tier 4 to Skilled Work - During Course

Post by raj_sharma » Wed Sep 15, 2021 4:56 pm

Hi,

I am looking for some advice.

I moved to UK in Jan-2021 after getting my Student Visa which is valid until Sept-2024. I am doing undergraduate degree(BSc) but unfortunately failed in my first year. I received email from my university that says I am on resit without attendance and my second year will start in September-2022. I am told that due to gap of a year I have to go back to India and if I clear my exams I have to come after getting fresh new visa. It is so disappointing. University will inform HO regards my result and possibly I will get 60 days of time.

I wonder if it is possible to switch to skilled work visa from Tier 4, considering I failed in first year. I am 19 years old and looking for possible option so can avoid impact on my career.

Assuming someone sponsor me on skilled visa, am I eligible to switch?

Best Regards
Ibbi
