Fiance visa travel rules

Post by EMP99 » Fri Aug 20, 2021 8:28 am

Hi,

Does anyone know how long after a fiance visa is granted must the applicant come to the UK by? I ask because we may meet up in an amber list country for a family wedding if the timings work out and then travel to the UK together.

Thanks in advance

The person can travel at any time within the 6 months validity. However note that you also have to get married within that 6 month period and apply for the spouse visa before fiance visa expires.

Plan accordingly.

Thanks. Yes, if we were going to go ahead with this plan it will only be a 2 week stop in another country before coming to UK, then we intend to apply for notice to get married almost immediately. Hopefully, if this works out, we can avoid hotel quarantine as my fiance is in a red list country. Thanks for your help. I was under the impression that you had to travel to UK within 30 days.

Thanks,
I've read about a visa vignette expiring after 90 days for travel to UK. Does this apply spousal visas and not for fiancé visas?

Yes as fiancée visa is granted for 6 month.

Fiance Visa checklist

Post by EMP99 » Fri Sep 24, 2021 3:20 pm

Hi,

I am beginning collecting documents needed for fiancé visa application. I have listed the documents below. Could someone please advise me if anything further is needed or is this enough

Cover letter for Spouse visa application
Copy of sponsor UK British Passport
Housing proof of ownership (Title deeds) on Parent’s name
Letter from parents (homeowners) confirming permission to stay there indefinitely
Council tax letter on Parent’s name
Housing survey (I know this is not mandatory but I feel it will help prove the overcrowding condition)

Employment reference letter from new and old employer
Employment Payslips x 12 (I have been in my current job for 3 months)
Bank statements covering the last 12 months

Proof of relationship
Whatsapp communication screenshots
Screenshots of call logs
Pictures from engagement ceremony
Annotated photos of us together

Proof of intention to marry via a query email to Registry office

Sponsor's divorce documents-Decree absolute from previous marriage

IELTS Life skills A2 English Test

TB certificate

Applicant’s passport

Thanks in advance,

Applicant's passport online submission? Fiancé visa

Post by EMP99 » Tue Oct 12, 2021 10:10 pm

Hi,
As part of the fiancé visa application process, the documents checklist say to provide the applicant's passport and a copy of the sponsor's passport ID page.
As the applicant is required to take their passport to the biometrics appointment, is it sufficient to upload a copy of the applicant's passport ID page and any stamped pages or do we need to scan all pages of the passport if submitting supporting documents online?

If anyone could shed any light on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

This sane question in answered nearly every day. Scan and upload applicants biodata page and other pages with travel history or scan all pages of the passport and upload. Either one is fine.
