Sorry for bombarding this thread with questions.

I contacted the UKVI advisor today and was advised that the delay in my application can be possibly due to the late start date in my new role, which is the end of July. It would appear reasonable not to process my application at this point to avoid having my current sponsorship cancelled while having to wait till the end of July to start the new job.

My question is, will there be any negative consequences to the visa application for the recruitment to update the CoS with an earlier start date?

Hi guys,

So I finally got my decision email today! I feel so relieved. Honestly the worst experience ever.

@mabin hold tight. Keep pestering and sending the emails to all departments. Also please pray. God will answer you. Amen

Hi everyone, I am back to this thread....

@squidfry, May I know if you have received a decision yet?

My start date is gonna be in 2 weeks time counting from Today.... But I still have not receive anything back yet...

Well I kinda did receive something from Visa contact centre, I contacted them 2 weeks ago and now I got a reply like 'we have notified the appropriate team'. It's not a clear reply at all...

Anyone can give me more advice on what should I do?

I written to my MP but not got any reply.
I rang UKVI 3 times but all I got is the email 'we have notified the appropriate team' 2 weeks later.
I placed a complain in HO but got told require 20 working days for a response.

Hi, I am completely out of options now. I was expecting to receive the decision at end of April after paying for 5 days priority service.

I rang UKVI literally every week since first week of May and all I got is 'the appropriate team had been notified' response.

And tomorrow 7 June 2021 is my planned start date on the CoS, and still not have the decision yet. Please can someone shed some light or give advice on what should I do?😣

Hi all,

I am also affected by the delay:
Type: Change of Employer (from Tier 2 General to Skilled Worker)
Super priority service
Application date: 21st May
Biometrics appointment date: 25th May
Extra info/documents requested by UKVI: 26th May - 1st June
Then I have not heard back from UKVI. My new job's start date on the CoS was 1st June.

I have written to my local MP and ask if she can help investigate the delay last week. Just now, she replied that "the Home Office currently have a huge backlog of applications, and they have even suspended their own Service Delivery Targets." but she will help follow-up. So now, we can only wait.

So maybe writing to your local MP would help, at least to know a little something about the application instead of being in a complete limbo. Finger-crossed for everyone else who is also affected by the situation.

Hi everyone, I received the decision email on 14 June 2021 when my CoS start date is 7 June 2021. So similar to @squidfry, they seemed to be making decision one week past the start date on CoS. Of course, in between this I have rung/ written to plenty people e.g. MP, UKVI, solicitors, Home office/ UKVI complaint procedure, FOI request etc.

As I have paid for the Priority service £500, the 5 day service was not met (waited since end of April). May I know if anyone knows how to claim for a refund of this service fee that I have paid, please?

Thank you.

I got the same issue but not too bad.
Got the Biometric Appointment on 12 Aug with Priority Service and got the Visa granted email today 24 Aug.
So only 3 working days late.
I did call them on 20 Aug and got the same answer:
"We only can escalate your case to the Home Office. You can also send email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk"
