EEA Family Permit Visa Outside Timeframe

Post by Zenfold » Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:03 pm

Greetings,

A failed EEA Family visa which was rejected in October 2020.
I wish to re-apply for my in-laws to join me in the UK. I hold a Dutch passport with indefinite leave to remain and Settled Status. My wife has pre-settled and a Iraqi passport.

On the website it says you cannot apply after the 30th of June 2021..
Yet right below it, it says you can still apply for it..
So! I am going to be applying and do everything myself rather than get a solicitor do it for me for a hefty fee.

Anyone else tried to apply after the deadline? Any success? Failures? Thanks!

Correct, it is not longer possible to apply for a EEA Family Permit.

Incorrect. What it says is that you might be eligible to apply for a EUSS Family permit instead. The requirements are similar to the old EEA Family permit, plus the sponsor has to have status under the Settlement Scheme.

Again, you can apply for a EUSS Family Permit and is NOT after the deadline.
My posts express what I believe are the facts, based on the best of my knowledge, about the topics discussed in this forum. They do not constitute immigration advice.
