ILR tier2 route Absence days less than 30 days

Hi Everyone
Does the new rules of ILR from tier2 5 years route still require an absence letter from previous employers if the days of absence doesn’t exceed 30 days per year?
Like if I did not exceed 30 days in a year of days absent from UK, am I still required to get a letter from previous employer? What if I can't? I have P45 from this employer. Thanks
