Travel to India with baby with no indian passport

Hi All,

Me and my wife have Indian passport however our 1 year old son is going to have British passport in next few days. We want to travel to India in January 1st week and want to stay for couple of month. Can someone please let us know how can we do this.

1. Do we have to have OCI for my son to travel? if yes then is there any way we can get the OCI before travel date?
2. Is there any visa which we can get before our travel date and which can allow my son to stay for 2 month in India? I read that tourist visa only allows you to stay for 1 month max. Is there an Entry Visa which can allow him to stay longer?

When I look at different VFS in London the earliest appointment date i see is around 22nd Dec for Visa or OCI application.
