Marriage and having Children

Post by owlyowl » Mon Nov 22, 2021 9:06 pm

Hello,
I'm an EU citizen living in Ireland. My partner is non-EEA, she's been living in Ireland for 8 years and applied for a citizenship by naturalization a few months ago. We are engaged, but not married and she is pregnant.
I have two questions:
1. If we get married, do we need to notify the immigration services?
2. If she gives birth, do we need to notify the immigration services?

Best,
Owl

Change of marital status is considered a change of personal circumstances, so yes you should notify INIS.

Having a child is not a change in personal circumstances, so you don’t need to inform INIS.
