ILR dependant to ILR route

Post by TarunS1783 » Sun Nov 28, 2021 4:03 pm

Hi,

I am currently on an ILR visa & my wife is an ILR dependant.

History:
1. I was on a Tier 2 visa from 2017 to 2018 (PBS). My wife joined me in 2017 on a PBS dependant visa (valid until 2019).
2. In 2018, I got ILR. My wife subsequently got ILR dependant visa in 2019 (valid until 2022).
3. My wife is now applying for extension as an ILR dependant.
4. My wife will complete 5 years of living and working in the UK as my dependant from 2017 to late 2022. Her dependant visa (as above) has changed from PBS dependant to ILR dependant category in 2019.

Question: Will she be eligible to apply for ILR in 2022 (5 years from 2017 ) OR 2024 (5 years from 2019 - ILR dependant visa)?

No, she needs 5 years on FLR M visa if she switched her visa category in 2019 and didn't continue as a pbs dependent visa.

You cannot combine different visa categories to make up 5 years for ilr.

Items of correspondence

Post by TarunS1783 » Fri Dec 03, 2021 4:56 pm

Hi

My wife is applying for her FLR (M) extension. We have moved 4 times in the past 2 years.

Most bills and statements are in joint names. Could you please advise if we need to provide 6 items of correspondence for each address or is it enough that we would have items of correspondence from 3 different sources (not amounting to 6) for each address?

Will your partner be in the UK on the date of your application?

Post by TarunS1783 » Sun Dec 05, 2021 10:42 pm

Hi,

I am applying for an ILR dependent extension for my wife.

1. What is the purpose/implications of "Will your partner be in the UK on the date of your application?" question in the form.
2. Is the date of application, the date you apply online OR the date you have to go to give your biometrics etc?

Thanks,
T

Focus more on the period to cover, than the address.
