First British Passport for child having Indian passport with CoE to RoA

Thanks all for your help on this. My daughter got her British passport now.

When applying to surrender her Indian passport, is it ok to mention her British passport issue date as the date of acquiring British Nationality (i.e. Foreign Nationality Acquisition Date)?

Yes, thats what I did with my child's application. I didn't have the certificate but online tracking says it is printed and then I assume you should be fine as well.

Depending on who you meet at the desk, they might demand citizenship certificate but just insist its not applicable in your case and ask to speak to manager if they still refuse. I needed to write a letter on the spot to explain the circumstance of the child holding dual citizenship and how the child is eligible for Indian passport at birth, so I suggest prepare that letter in advance in case if they ask.

I really didn't read hear about the OCI application for ROA case otherwise I could have asked them but if you happen to have a chance ask the VFS what exactly we need for our case and update here.

My certificate of entitlement to right of abode is about to expire on january 25th 2022.
Can i travel with my Indian passport from Malta to UK next week,As i am planning to renew CoE to RoA in UK and the validity is about to expire soon i am confused can i travel or not.
Kindly help me with it.

You may use it while it’s valid. You should return to the UK before it expires.

The passport is also to be expired with the visa.
As i dont have a 6months validty to passport can i make the travel successfully.

If returning to the UK, then I think it’s sufficient for the Passport and CoE-RoA to be valid. I don’t think there is a minimum six months validity requirement.
