Finally I got the cert for my child

The journey ended after 30 months (approx)

The application date was 20th Dec 2019 still waiting for decision? Can anyone inform me the time line for minor application?

I have seen ppl waiting for 2 years here....as long as 6 months after approval and paying fees. So if you have not received approval yet there is a long journey ahead !

certificate came today, 6 months after fee was paid. :)

Is there charge for raising FOI ? I thought it was free.

Please be informed that a fee applies. The fee is €50, or €15 if you have a medical card and can forward a copy of the medical card with your payment. I would be grateful if you would pay the fee at your earliest convenience and not later than 18 January 2022. If a fee is paid and the application for review is subsequently withdrawn by you (before a decision is made by the Commissioner), the fee will be refunded.

Just got response from the FOI and they just sent me all the photo copies of documents I had submitted...there is no information on where the application is. There is a list which has date of Mar 20 and says application in progress! So what exactly you get from FoI ???

My Son's Timeline

Application Submitted : Early Sept 2019
Additional Documentations requested : Early Jan 2020
Further Documentation requested (Almost same document) : Summer 2020
Again same documents ie. school letter, GP , landlord letter: End 2020
Escalated the case through TD: Early 2021
Summer 2021 : Hired a Solicitor for JR
Due to courts were off JR was pending till October 2021
October 2021 i was told the case is almost at final stage , so i didn't went to JR
Approval on 13 December
Fees (Band Draft) , Photos sent same day and received on 14 December
Cert received 14 January

From application summited till naturalization cert it took 27 Months !!

First Time Passport Applied 16 Jan (Online) sent all the required documents so now waiting for the passport finally!

I applied for my kid in Nov 2021, got passport back around Christmas but no application number, no acknowledgement - just the passport and person ID.

Timeline for my child application

Application Submitted : 12/2020
waiting .....
Email request for passport return : 07/21
got passport back in two week
waiting...
nothing happening until Yesterday
received application no: 02 /22

long way to go .... hope they can speed up :arrow: :arrow: :arrow: little bit :)

Thanks for details. My kids application is stuck since March 2020 . Got passport and application number in couple of months but they never asked anything later. Every mail gets only one answer. Application is being processed. It's 24 months now. I don't know what to do. Btw what is this JR?

Certificate fees paid. It is stated in the approval letters to send bank drafts and photos. But instead i made the payment online and uploaded copy of biometric passport. I hope they won't reject it and insist on bank drafts? Also my children's passport has expired but i uploaded them like that. Also i made a mistake in one of my children's profile on the inisonline.jahs.ie by writing one of my children's name as the parent making the payment on his behalf instead of my name. Do you see any problem with that? Although i sent them an email immediately about it. Also i used my account on inisonline to make my children's certificate fees, i hope it doesn't has to be separate account for each child? Will this affect processing the certificate fees and sending out the certificate?

Certificates fees process status changed to completed since last week and stated i should allowed 2-3 working days to receive certificates. Still waiting for certificates by post. :roll:

Could you please confirm, if we need to send Child's original passport with the application ( Form 9) ?

Also, for Minor, do we need to send documents matching scorecard requirement ( for kid or for naturalized parent) ?

It's now going to 7 weeks since certificate fees paid for my kids and no certificate have been posted. What is it so hard to print and post certificate ? :roll:

Anyone still waiting for certificate after paying fees?
